I have been playing poker for many years. and the more it becomes that some are dealt against all science and the rules of the game of poker. The longer I play, the more I feel cheated by the poker rooms. Playing live never the game plays like in the rooms. Often times, no tactic or knowledge of poker matters at all. do you think so too?
Well it seems that you are just not playing enough hands in The live events so you don't see it often. If you could speed it up like online poker you would see that it is basically the same

the difference is that there are much more hands online and the distance that you will play offline for a year is played online in a month, but RNG works the same everywhere)

Yes online poker is different, because there are no live tells and no social element to it. Its also different, because the speed is much higher, and because people can play multible tables at the same time.

No online poker is not different, because its rigged. This is number 10.872 thread about the same old boring topic, and there is nothing to be said about it, that not been said a million times already.

There is not much difference between online poker and live poker! Although we do experience such hands live, for example on pokerstars, live poker changes to such an extent that you can see your opponent's style (reaction) with your own two eyes. Maybe I would take poker more seriously live. less bluffing. Greater stress and anxiety.

I also think that randomness in online poker is not accidental, but I like it, just as there is unreal bad luck, there is unreal luck, and with any starting hands, but much less often 😁

I think that the biggest difference is the tells. It surely have some tells in the online games, but they are less evident than they are in live poker. The psycological domain of poker is much more relevant in live poker than it is playing online.

100% different, without listing all the differences, just being able to read people is the biggest for me. I do very well playing live cash games and only average playing online.

It is different for sure , if you have played for some time , you should know by now that RNG works in specific ways better than in other ways , it favours specific moves and decisions over others . But most regs have no problem with this , they take advantage of it , learn the tricks and watch the suckers lose every time with hands stronger , despite odds ...lol

Obviously, playing live is very different from playing online. It is the same as playing, for example, billiards live and playing billiards online. The difference is obvious. In my opinion, playing live is more interesting, but also more difficult.

I agree with you 100%. The bad beats I take in rooms are 10 times worse Then when I play live. Online is donkey heaven. That’s the best way I can put it.

All online poker is based on the work of a random number generator. And this means that he has certain distribution programs for certain situations at the table. And, if you look closely at the hands, whether in tournaments or at cash tables, you will notice one important thing - the larger stack is dealt such cards that in 80-90% of the hands his hand wins, even if the player enters the game with complete crap. This is the biggest difference from live poker - it is dealt by a person and these hands are really random, that is, they are not programmed. Although there are bad beats, it does not depend on the size of the stacks of the players. That is why you will get the impression that you are being deceived in poker rooms and that is why online poker players try by any means to raise their stack several times relative to the stacks of opponents at the table.
Learn something new every day they say thank you so much. I will be taking your information with me. Makes perfect sense

In live poker, the 'HUD' depends on our perception. The only thing I think is the same (live/internet) are the rules! The dynamics, the reach of the hands, and more are quite different.
Agreed!!! :)

In the biggest rooms like PokerStars, 888 or Party, even ACR I dont feel cheated, I think its very safe. They can distribute the cards more random than the live dealers (even if they have a shuffle machine). The biggest rooms print money, why should they cheat and lose their very good reputation.

The game it self if exactly the same live or online .

The difference are not by the game but more of circumstance. Online games do seem to be harder than live? Many people play and learn online so this should not be an surprise. Speed of the game online can be 2 1/2 to 3 times as many hands per hour. If you multi table you could play enough hands in a hour or hour and 1/2 online that would tale a 8 hour day at the casino. Tells are there for both Live and online but the tells you get are different. When playing online its timing tells that you can pick up but live there are many more types of tells. Live is more fun than online.

Much prefer live poker for the social aspect rather than sitting in front of the computer.

in real life, it's easier
Because if you go to the casinos, you will find mostly tourists and not specialists.
But if you go up to the level, it is sure that in real life it becomes more complicated.

In live poker you face weaker opponents but also more variance because of less hands played

Hello brother
Many times you have the same thought.
Many times I believed that a river or a turn was always given by the online system to some other player.
Moreover, at some point I came to think that even because of the flag of a certain country the system gave him cards that he needed in the community ones.
When I started playing live poker and also started watching big wsop or EPT tournaments live, I started to understand that both online and live, if the cards have to come out, they come out live or online.
I think the difference that live has is that in general you can study the player more than online.
Online you can only study its form of game with seen cards, so there you go taking data from the players at the tables.
The game tactics are the same, you have passive players, aggressive players, players who only have very firm hands, and you must study that both in live tables and online.
What if I followed a piece of advice from a post here I think a member was talking about always trying to play tournaments that have a value in money and not getting used to playing only freeroll games because these games in general are a bingo except that you reach the 1st 30 places in the tournament where play begins, let's say a new tournament, because in the freerolls there are also good players but in general, as I told you, it is a bingo game until more than half of the tournament.
The paid games are played differently, it is much more similar than the live tables.
A big hug from Algarrobo - argentina

yes it is different in my experience

i have played online for 14 years or so and have also played a good amount of hands in real life and for me it is very clear that online is different . a lot of set up hands / bait hands , people hitting their 1-4 outers way too often etc

The main difference is speed. After playing poker so many years online, i just can't stand how slow live poker is.
