I think there are some differences , online is a more fast paced game, its all about adjusting and reacting faster , live is more on the human read and feels, but the difference isn't that big. Perhaps you need to play more online to get the feel of it without having big expectations.

It is so much different for me.I was playing offline and people even didnt care if other people see their cards, they dont hide it but i was playing in a pub not really professional.I was best there it looks how it is much more easy offline to win some money on poker because people are not patient offline they risk more then online because online you are in own home and offline you cant talk with your family,etc...
I just dont know if offline poker welcome bonuses are better then online bonuses or online bonuses are better.

Games are tougher online than live in general. You also see a lot more hands per hour. Just focus on playing optimal poker and making the best decisions in each individual hand and if you're losing just move down until you grind your bankroll back up.
100% this, you also have to consider equivalent skill levels online versus live when you're comparing games. If you're playing a microstake tournament online it's hard to expect the same quality of play as in a $100+ live game. On the other hand if you tried to play the same buy-in online as off you'll be playing against significantly stronger opponents.

If your issue is more with the way cards are randomized online I'd suggest checking out one of the many 'Is online poker rigged?' thread as there's a ton of information already posted here on that.

I have been playing poker for many years. and the more it becomes that some are dealt against all science and the rules of the game of poker. The longer I play, the more I feel cheated by the poker rooms. Playing live never the game plays like in the rooms. Often times, no tactic or knowledge of poker matters at all. do you think so too?
True, I completely agree, it is very difficult to see strategies against absurdities.
The good thing about the face-to-face game is looking at the opponent, seeing the reactions, vibrating after a good move, playing with will and even losing knowing that you lost by strategy and not by mere luck.

I do see the runner runner to the river a lot online. This is 0.01% odds. Have seen it too frequently I think for it to be a bonefide statistical norm. Would imagine this outcome would occur a lot less often with a live deck.

The rules are the same, but the dealers or the cards they receive are very, very different, but when it comes to online tournaments or sit and go money tables, each table or online game mode is different and live is totally different. From my online point of view you can see fantastic hands that live once in a lifetime you'll see them: D

Hello!
I only play online. It seems to me that it would be very difficult for me to sit at a live table, as I would have to somehow not show my emotions, and also count my chips)

Online poker is much faster than live poker. So bad beats and small-odd wins happen more regularly.

offline variance is huge, and offline is simply incredible, but as for me, playing live is more interesting, but less profitable

I play both Live and online and the biggest difference I have noticed is in Live games you must rely on your brain and ability while online you can use various software devices, calculators, HUD etc and of course the occurrence of hands like str8flushes and quads are much more prevalent online...

  • Playing MTT, if you show your A-game at a distance, the result should be in the black, if not, then you are doing something wrong

I play online allot, Competition seems allot harder then the Live 1 dollar 3 dollar cash games I played at the Casino a couple times.

It felt like only 1-2 good players at the table & the rest recreational/drunk players playing casually.

In online poker, all you do is convince yourself that this is just a temporary setback and the distance will bring everything back to you, and watch your opponent catch up on the river over and over again.

Certainly the online game is very different from the live one. Opponents' emotions are very meaningful when we can observe them. In the online game, this feature is an important differentiator. I really like the online game as I don't have free time to play live.

I think that live poker is very different than online poker, since you can see the nerves of the players live online, you can only see their bets.

Good afternoon everyone, online poker is a program that tries to imitate live poker, even nothing much everyone knows. There are several online poker sites, for this game to work it is necessary a program that tries to imitate live poker, if it were a ranking of sites that have the results of card draws that are closest to or equal to live poker results and there are sites that all the time have absurd results due to their programming. In my opinion, the site that has the closest results to live poker is the one on the bet365 website, the problem with this website is the graphics, which are of poor quality, few players, and if you need live help via the website's chat, you have to wait a long time, when I went to get help I waited for more than 1:30 hour and a half , plus the results are a simulation very similar to live poker, in the vast majority nobody hit anything it is rare for someone to hit a very strong hand and the strongest hand preflop maintains the probability of winning, it is the site that wins the most times, when I have AA. In live poker it is difficult for AA to lose, whereas in pokerstar, in my opinion, it is the site with the worst simulation of card draw results where there are bad bets all the time. A bad bet is part of poker and will happen but not with the frequency that happens on this site is absurd. My nickname is Fanfarrão 1983 and I'm profitable on all the sites I play. Let's compare with football games that simulate the real game, some games are very real to the game and others have a program that leaves something to be desired. Take a live poker MTT and take the 100 results in a row when there was a show dow and compare it with the 100 results in a row of online poker MTT on pokerstars, you will see that there are many more bad bets on the pokerstars website than in live poker. I read a lot about poker and saw some comments that say that the site does this to attract recreational players and that if they always lose according to the real probability of the game, they won't play anymore, that's why you see the guy getting 63s and going all in. It's all the time bad betting on this site, poker probability is not like that.

I believe that in online poker rooms, luck also matters a lot, playing online in my experience I have had a lot of bad luck always playing with some good AA cards and losing regularly. it seems that the probability does not play so much relevance within the online rooms.

online poker is very different from live poker, first of all in online poker you can play more hands per hour, you play with statistics of the players, in live poker you can play less hands but more concentrated, you can see your opponent and know him better to make better decisions.

Yes, and it's not even about poker itself, it's about the people sitting at the table with you! You may be bad online, but you try to act like a well-mannered person in person
