I play online allot, Competition seems allot harder then the Live 1 dollar 3 dollar cash games I played at the Casino a couple times.

It felt like only 1-2 good players at the table & the rest recreational/drunk players playing casually.
definitely!
these days online poker is filled with players who are studying A LOT & there's a ton of information available to them (much more than in the past).
You'll also seem many players (even in the lowest micro stakes) who are grinding it out for groceries (making a living from it). Players from Central America, brazil, Venezuela, argentina, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, mexico, etc. where some dollars from online poker has more value.

I want to learn more about your live poker experiences!

I think playing online and offline are completely different things. It's harder to play offline, because you still need to control your emotions, experienced players can easily read you in the late stages of offline, and it's harder on a computer.

That's right. The cards are dealt differently.

I agree with the person above about the fact that online you see a lot of hands in a row, live you have more time to concentrate

I prefer to play online, playing live is too slow and boring for me.

For me absolutely. Online more competitive. Live also has more people playing in hands regardless of bet size, fewer number of hands, and slower pace

Well, there are obvious differences between online and live poker. The first one is the speed, live poker takes it's time since cards dealing is slower, and there's no time restriction. Also, on live poker you have to play thinking in your opponents strategy far more than in online, because you have to read his mind through his attitude and expressions, and even you need to take care of what you show to him on you own expressions.

Games are tougher online than live in general. You also see a lot more hands per hour. Just focus on playing optimal poker and making the best decisions in each individual hand and if you're losing just move down until you grind your bankroll back up.

I tend to agree with you, On-line there are more dedicated players who will take the time to study the game and the tac-tics needed to be a reasonably good player, the hands are dealt a lot quicker, so the games are a lot quicker, also there is a time limit to how long you have to make a decision to Call, Raise or Fold, So they run a lot smoother.
Live games however run a lot Slower because Players take their time to make decisions as they have seen the Pros do it on the TV. so they don't want to look stupid folding, even though they might look at their hand before it is their turn to act and decide in a split second that its a hand to go straight in the bin.
Many times in a Live game I have looked at a dealt hand, and mentally clicked on the fold button in my head, knowing I am not going to play that hand, but still had to wait until it is my turn to act before shoving my cards forward into the muck. Playing out of Turn in a live game is a dead giveaway that you are a novice at the game, and don't play that much.
On-line players tend to be more aggressive because they know how to play, You still get the novices but most are generally good players, that deserve a little respect. Live games however are dependant on the place where you are playing, In Pubs anyone can play and most are weekend players who only play once a week, but they are far from an easy pushover because they will play almost any two cards just to get involved.
In casinos you will get a better standard of player because they are more motivated to win and most have been playing for years, the buy-ins are usually bigger than the Pub games therefore the Players are more seasoned. You still get the odd "Fish" or novice, but not as many.
The biggest attraction of Live Poker though is the Social Interaction between players, something you don't get clicking buttons On-line. I have made more Friends Playing Live games than I have On-line.

Well, you can't compare live poker and online poker, did you even think for a second about how much more amateurs there are online? They don't come to casinos to play poker from all over the world, many don't have that opportunity. But coming from all over the world to play poker online is quite possible. That's the difference between online and offline results.

Poker is a long turn game, ie the result of its balance sheet is applied after a large number of games. It is normal that during these games you will experience a violent variance giving a feeling of injustice.

Live poker and online poker are the same thing in terms of luck and variance, and to be a winning poker player you have to make the right decisions in each spot without giving importance to the immediate results.

Reading between the lines, it sounds like you've had some bad beats. Re-examine your own game, and if there's genuinely no leaks there, chalk it up to variance and keep at it.

For sure: The scene is different...

The online poker is easy accessible - now, almost anyone with the right equipment can play poker online, no matter what their skill level. Online poker is quite convenient - at home, at warm or coоl, food is close, water, bed, everything is easier... :) Staying at home, it's hard to get a tan... :D

Than the live room (casino) is harder to access (at least for me). For example, the nearest casino to me is about 40-50 km away. The expenses I will incur to go there, it would be better to make a deposit online... But there are also advantages to visiting such places, such as meeting new people and so on...

Well, the first and most obvious difference is the social contact with other people, which at a live poker table can be a total challenge .
the pace is slower you are more focused, online you play more tables you make faster decisions this is my opinion i dont play big live events just small ones and cash tables in my city

I think that the game is different from online poker more dynamic and you don't have to wait for the dealer as well
