Yeah, I've played a lot in the past. With cyber money it's crazy in small stack table, all it frenzy, but in high stack table people are quite serious. So it's good for practice.

I recommend only playing play money in order to learn the rules of the game and get comfortable playing online poker.

After that, you should switch to real money poker games. This is where people actually play real poker because there is something on the line.

Play money is for pople who cant afford to play with real money or they dont want to give. Even the micro stakes 0,1/0,2 c are earth and heaven in difference. Nothing in common.

Play money tournaments have their place and I really enjoyed a Friday game on PStars which had some tough players. At the end of the year, the highest ranked players received a reward of some kind (so you know where I placed). Anyway, the game was cancelled and it sometimes took precedence over some of real money games I was involved in just because they were good games.

Playing with game chips is worth it that you've just learned the poker hands and even then sometimes confuse a straight for a flush. But there is absolutely no point in sitting and skating distances, the game is completely different.

i only play playmoney when i am on tilt and want to play more poker. in my opinion this is no real poker, so many people always in the hand with cards which you will not play when you play with real money. They only call the bb and if you raise you know you will get the call, even if you do reraise all are calling.

I used to play a lot of Play-money games when I first started playing, and from an Initial stake of 10,000 chips I amassed over 600,000 in a very short time. The only problem I found was when you moved into real money games, it becomes a whole different ball game.

I have to agree with some others on here and say no, based on the value part and people will play any old crap.. however, it is a good tool to help you hone in your skills without losing any money, but there are plenty of freerolls available especially 888 atm
