Play money is so bingo-y that it’s bad for your game. Just play super micro stakes at sites like pokerstars or SWC poker

I usually play with play money quite a bit, to practice my poker skills.

It is obvious the majority tagging on the end of the thread have not fully read the thread nor even bothered with reading this last (at this point) page.

So I'll underline a fact again.

Personal opinion is redundant at this juncture because PokerStars has for months attached a badge to players avatars (optional to use) which shows the number of real money hands they have played.

On any given day you can find several such players playing in 'play chip' MTTs for the practice - and to underline they are voluntarily showing they have played thousands of real money hands. They can remove the badge with one click if they want but they opt to show their status.

So in essence anyone saying that no one takes using play chips seriously does not know what they are talking about, they are just opining in an uniformed manner.

The evidence is available on PokerStars everyday.

...and just to underline the point that I have been making, I just entered a play money MTT Turbo and 17 of the remaining 174 players are showing badges that they have played thousands of real money hands.

It's boring to do with play money. It's interesting because it's real gold. Many people find it easier to bluff with play money.

Play money

I used to play for play money and live in germany so poker stars took our chance to play no more. I do not know why which is ashame because I faired very well. I won the sunday million for bragging rights and the following sunday made the final table again as money leader and lost. Good practice and believe it or not you get to play against the pros.
