When I got into poker back in 2012 I played huge amounts of play money, and I continued doing this till ~ 2 years ago when I decided that it was time to start playing with real money.
Today, I don't play play money poker, unless I need to practise my skills in not so familiar for me games, like Badugi, 2-7 Triple Draw, mainly for the CardsChat special events.

I started playing on Replay Poker 3 years ago and transitioned to real money after about 6 months. I have occasionally popped in from time to time and now belong to a Cards Chat League.
Real money is more serious. Play money can be enjoyable but you have to focus to deal with the maniacs.

No not at all, 90 % of it is a waste of time for anyone that knows how to play poker with any skill. Because it is play money people play very recklessly which does not help any one learn. Some may like it, I do not.

How much play chip poker have I played from the Land Of The Free?
Enough to go from zero play chips to over 50 BILLION on poker stars.
It is utterly meaningless in the greater scheme of things... however, I am thrilled that at least in some small and insignificant way, I graduated all the way to the top rung of the ladder. There are only a few players I'm aware of that have 100 billion or more play chips on Stars.
Just to give you some idea of the value of 50 billion play chips... if I had to purchase them all at the going rate on Stars (a 100% extra sale today, they're always running sales pitches), it is 2.65 billion chips for 500 US dollars... so my 50 billion chip bankroll would cost me almost 10,000 US dollars.
If only I could sell them back. But... I live in the Land of the FREE, where such things as Poker Stars are banned. I am thankful to still be allowed to use the play chip side of Stars, but I think this shows how much income my US Government has cost me over the past decade. I used to play in the same tournaments as Niklas Astedt (Lena900 on Stars). Today, he went on to become one of the biggest winners in poker, while I grinded the play chips up to nosebleed status. Thanks, Federal Government. You lost too, you know... think about all that tax revenue I would have given you. Idiots.

as i started to Play poker in the beginning i only played with playmoney but then i found the freerols and now i Play with real Money and some times i do freerols. on pokerstars is it not possible to Play with playmoney if you are from germany but i dont miss it.
