Play money. You play poker on play money?

I used to play for play money, and thank god those days are behind me. People play at least with a little bit of a brain in the games I play nowadays. Overall, I would not say that play money is good practise for real poker. It should be used until you can identify your hands, and any potential draws, and then you should move on to real poker.

I still play at GP (Global Poker) fairly regularly, even though I had been basically using it in the past to practice for live games. Since live play ended for me with the coming of Covid-19 in mid March most of my play is at America's Card Room for real money, but I still enjoy the free ones at GP for no cost practice. I've found that the players at GP are pretty much the same as those I play for real money elsewhere.

The game has to have value to be serious enough to be worthwhile. freerolls are bad enough most of the time. Play money would be just a shovefest. For some maybe. For me, absolutely not!

Do you like play poker on play money-not for real

I play pub poker before the pandemic, was a fun league that plays for points to win a championship at the end of the season.

Not for years online though but plan on it in the New Year when I join the CardsChat League from what I hear they are a fun and very competitive league.

NO. it`s very rare to get a sirious game on play money. usualy people play as a lottery, not a poker.

I think that it is an excellent tool for training, and it has helped me to improve my game. It is like "dry firing" with a firearm where I can practice my aiming and keep my trigger pull smooth.

I dont see why you would play with play money when you can play freerolls for real money. Unless your an old lady whos cheap and really bored. Then maybe.

Play money ... It depends on what goal you set for yourself. The disperthy does not depend on the cost of buy-in, but with play money you can easily train BR management. After you start playing for real money, do not forget to sometimes play for play money and try to climb to the top in play money, of course you should play by the bankroll.

Playing for free is the best way to learn to play poker or anything for that matter. Think of it as the more you do somthing the better and faster you get at it. Good luck.
