I used to play play money, but then I grew up and found out about real money.

Yes, I often go to play for play money, I don’t feel sorry for them) I play broadly, with all my heart) but I follow the rules of the game, I will not raise 9 3 for no reason. play money gives you the opportunity to practice before playing for real money, or get acquainted with an almost unfamiliar type of poker.

Play money or free-rolls, they both have a low standard of play because players use them for practice, you will always get the idiots pushing all in with any 2 cards simply because it has cost them nothing to play, but if you wait until the dust settles you then get to play poker.
I have and still do play with play money when I want to learn a new format of poker like "Razz" or "Short deck", still not very good in either, so I certainly would not use my bankroll to practice them.
It gives you a solid grounding in the way the games play and of course cost's nothing to learn the basics, but in all forms of poker the only way to really learn is to lose a few times and improve your play.

I did when I started but quickly stopped. There is nothing to gain playing a PMG. With nothing to lose people play everything and it degenerates into an all in fest. If you want to play for free set up accounts and play every Freeroll you can. Your game will improve as you win pennies at first. Save those pennies and buy your way into small 10c- $1 tournaments. It’s what I did over the last year and now I play with their money and not my own. Stop wasting time on PMG.

Played on and off with playman, but it was mostly a waste of time as everybody just went all-in all the time with nothing at stake to lose.

Some people insist on saying that playmoney poker is the same as realmoney.
It clearly is not the same.
Consider playing odds or evens for fun. If you lose, even if there's no money envolved, you won't like it.

I dont agree. I remember when i started playing poker for play money, i was really excited to earn more. That means more game, that means higher tables, that means more interesting game. And if you lose all, that means no more game no more fun or you.
I remember spending alot of the time on that site, alot of chatting with lot of awesome people who just love poker, whether its real money or not. In fact, it was more interesting to play there then right now i play for real money, just because people are soo serious, very rare its a pot with more then 2, ok 3 players. 95 percent of pots go raise fold. Thats it.
