Play poker for money, this is fun and sometimes beneficial.

Playmoney bores me, unless it is a video game.

I am not even sure it is a good learning opportunity as no-stake leads to very loose, unrealistic play.

No, it makes no sense to me. There's one important component missing - value. People don't play seriously for play money, and it may weaken your game, cause you are used to those type of players (no offense tho for play money players) and when switch up to real money, I'm sure it will be hard to get used to.

It's not worth playing for play money, start right away with freerolls and you will gradually learn how to win, first 10-20 cents, then more and more, the main thing is patience and desire to play poker.

To a certain degree, I would agree with you, but some game formats do not always appear in free-rolls like Razz, Stud, and Omaha, Play money gives you a chance to try new formats without it costing you, and who knows you may find a format that suits you better than Hold-em.
I can play most and enjoy a game of Omaha or Stud now and again. but if it had not been for play money I probably never tried Omaha, as for Stud I was taught how to play that by my Grandad when I was 7 years old. He always beat me but it was a good lesson to learn that not everything in life goes the way we want it to.

I played it in the beginning when I didn't know very well the moves and the way to play in a correct way, but as always not everybody is born knowing but learning and training, for that reason I still play with fictitious money but from time to time I play the real tournaments.

The only time I play with play money is when I play in the Cardschat League on PS. It has helped my game but that's because people play the league as if they're playing for real money. You don't get that from play money games otherwise so I don't bother playing play money. I play freerolls and lower dollar buy in tournies because that's what I like to play and what my bankroll affords me to play.

Play for play chips is worth playing if you have just learned poker hands and even then confuse a straight with a flush sometimes. But there is absolutely no point in sitting and rolling there distances, the game is completely different.

I tried to play for play money, but it wasn't fun for me. You can perhaps use it when you are learning to play poker.

I used to, but found that I could win cash from Free-rolls and play Micro stakes instead, Play money is useful if you want to learn a different style of Poker like Omaha or Razz etc, without it costing you real money, but soon after learning the game you will be back to real money games tab and registering for real, it is Human Nature.

I play for play money at ReplayPoker.
I play in the Individual League and Special Events. Sometimes I play in ReplayPoker tournaments. I also love getting achievements.
This is a completely different game, but very fun.

I dont enjoy to play with play money... I play so much, so, i preffer to play some freerolls or low buyins. I feel peolpe play much tighter with real money, so play money that end in confuse my game.
