That's pretty nuts, like an 18% ROI or something like that, very nice! I'm playing the $6.50's on Tilt on my night's off, I hope to move up to the $12's by my birthday in October.

How do you filter out getting your money in good and being sucked out on in HEM? Not that I want to know, it's for a friend.;)

It's not a very reliable thing to look at dg.

It is just a matter of days before I get relegated back to the MTT thread. :(

Yeah, I know. And I had an epiphany today (which I knew already, but hard to remember)... Even though I'm getting some really bad plays made against me and still losing, I'm still sitting at even over the past 3 weeks with rakeback and all. So I'm not really doing too bad. Not as good as I could be (I'm down 18 buy ins in that period) but still not bad.:)

And to be honest, I really think a little bit of that will go away once Bill clears me to go to the $5 games. I've been staying away from them for now until I get through this bad period. But from what I played of them earlier, there aren't quite as many absolute morons there. I know there are still a bunch, but not 4 at every table most times. I just have to get my game a little more solid before I can move up.

LOL. Like Debi said, that's not information you really want to act on. If you're getting the money in good, then you're typically making the right decision and wouldn't want to adjust it much, unless it's a question of tourney survival and picking the right spot.

Your question was probably more rhetorical than anything, but that said, while HEM doesn't make it easy to filter out the suckouts, you can get an approximation by filtering on a hand range (like premium pairs, 2p/set on the flop, etc. -- basically the hands you'd typically shove/call AI) and sorting/filtering by biggest losing pots. These loses will often be either suckouts or mistakes on your part. Hopefully more of the former than the latter. Note that late-stage MTT pots can pollute this data a bit, since you could lose a massive t$ pot that still isn't that large compared to your stack. But it would get you close I would think.

I made the mistake (and I should know better) of chasing the Rush Week bonus this week. I said I'd never play Rush again after losing 3 BI's the first day Rush was introduced. LOL, should of kept my promise. Over the past two days I've already lost about 8 BI's 4-tabling 25NL. Doh! Seriously -- no exaggeration -- QQ was the doomswitch hand for me over the last two days. I was dealt QQ an unusual number of times, and it only held up twice I think (and only one of those went to showdown). The other times too numerous to remember, it got crushed. And with Rush moving so fast, it's hard to make good reads based on HUD stats to know whether you should lay them down, call them down, or shove. Teach me to mix in Rush cash games during my SnG/MTT phase. That's one hell of a hard adjustment for me. Maybe I should try Rush tourneys...

Yeah, mainly rhetorical and for amusement purposes only.:D Was getting tired of typing "OMG, how many ##$^& times is this gonna happen?"

And I love Rush poker as well. But I made a decision a couple of months ago to pick a game, stick with b/r management, and put everything I have into it. So it's do or die for me here. If this doesn't work out then I'm going to quit playing poker for good. So I'm trying my best not to sabotage myself by going outside of my limits. You just have to put your mind to it and not subscribe to threads about "Rush Week" or anything that you have a weakness for.

Edit: Again, just for fun. Here's my last 215 games. (after filtering like you said though, I feel much better!)

dg another thing you could do is filter for hands you got all in with then sort for the ones you had +equity. this is super unrelaible as you can still be a 80/20 favorite and have made a horrible play. i just moved back to the $5s after a long while of rebuilding my BR. there does seem to be a few better regs in each game. the donkeys seem just as plentiful but players do seem to call off looser towards the bubble. btw about the redline it's common to run under EV is your ROI is low. when my ROI was around 2% i would run 100s of buyins below EV. nothing more tilting than seeing redline climb and BR drop. what i've been doing is filtering for certain spots i have trouble with then copy all those hands to clip board then paste them into SNGWIZ.

Thanks, cp. I know I'm making good plays for the most part. I just wanted to reassure myself.

It is back to mtt's now lol.
I think i'm going to join you... i don't have the energy to play sng's anymore, they quite frankly, bore me, lol. I was planning to play limit holdem, but i don;t have the time, or energy to do it properly. Ill be playing only two days a week now, and solely MTT's..

Just loaded up a set of 5 games. 1st one I go out holding a set of 6s. 2nd I go out AA<A4, and 3rd I go out AA<KK!!! Then some moron calls me down with A9 and catches his A on the river to knock me out with QQ. FTW I hate this game!

That's pretty typical for myself as well, but I'm talking all of that happened in about a 3 minute span. I was one more bad game away from licking windows and watching birdhouses in a straight jacket the rest of my life!:D

I've actually found time to play some poker this week, I don't really know how... I've just stopped sleeping, mostly. Lol, but seriously, the only time that I've really had to play has been after 11 or 12 in the evening, the days are too busy. I feel bad, because I'm playing games, but I can't play any for my league team, just due to the schedule... I guess I'll just have to wreck stuff when I get back, :p

Either way, my goal is to be playing the $12 turbo's on Tilt by my birthday in October, at the latest. I might move my BR to Stars when I move up, though, since the rake is so much better at the $16's, even without rakeback.

Really starting to wish my coach would just say "Hey, let's play a couple of weeks at the 6 man Super Turbos"! That's an hourly rate I could deal with.;)

hahaha - I am soooo addicted to sng's I can't stay away no matter what. So last night I played some $5.50's and they definitely seemed softer so will give those a try this weekend and see if I can survive.

Since I'm whining all the time about running bad, thought I would post this funny hand. I had just loaded up some games and Mother Nature decided it was time to get rid of the beer I had last night. So I sit out on all my games and come back just as my timer is about to expire on this hand...

Are you playing on Tilt or Stars? I know the ones on Tilt are super easy.

i'm playing these at fulltilt now. i don't see much difference between these the $1.20s or $2.25s other than the huge discount in rake. hoping my luck holds out maybe be rolled for $11s by end of the month.

They really are all pretty similar, I remember the first time I played the $5.50's, I was so intimidated lol. Didn't take too long for my opinion to change.

Id raise larger preflop, to 120, not a big deal. I'm not sure if the call preflop is good, probably priced in, but were not getting great implied odds, if it was me id make the decision pre if i was going with the hand, im likely to fold preflop to a solidish player, or someone who has been quiet up until this point. The CO raise should be super strong, id probably just give him credit for a hand and fold pre. the line postflop seems fine to me, can probably C/R turn though i highly doubt he has many draws in his range, so were not really protecting against much. were defo snapping that river, once we turn our ace we can't just fold, and were ahead of hands like KQ Kings, Jacks, but thats about it.

looks like slowplayed somethings to me, official guess, trip queens.

I meant to add that villain is pretty solid player, 4% ROI over like 23,000 games around the $4 level.

I feel like I didn't think at all during the hand lol. It is 2AM over here, after all...
