I think maybe you've missed the joke... :D

oh hehe the calling part makes sense now

Reckon it'd probably make you the coolest guy in the room at an APL / NPL event.*

* that's right, I just damned with faint praise. Werd.

I reckon it'll confuse them. NPL guys said I was lying when I told them I 15 table, doubt they know what a HUD is

Wow. I checked my sharkscope yesterday and it told me my status was "tilt" for sng's. So after I had a few beers I took offense to this and had to change that. :D
.

lol

My read was right on, but now I just need to be able to predict the future!

Hmm...would it be considered a leak to raise with some kind of air instead of AK here? :p Post-flop I mean, assume it was a reasonable raise preflop. Anyway, I tend to raise donk bets somewhat regularly with air and get folds a decent amount of the time. I guess in this specific one I would be suspicious since it's a pot-sized donk bet. I tend to find that the size of a donk-bet is often a good indicator of how strong the hand is. Obviously I raise donk bets with real stuff too.

I'm baaaack...

Got a few pennies in a pokerstars.tv freeroll, and have started to grind the .25+0 45player SnG's...
Cased 1 out of 2 so far, doubled the bankroll.

LOL - good point :p The two guys in the room who did get it would think you were awesome though.

Self-dealt games put me on such epic life tilt that I try to avoid them at all costs. Have run into a few people in tournaments at Crown though that were proudly telling the whole table they played NPL, as though that was meant to improve their table image or make us fear them or something. I might have sniggered a bit... aaahhh, NPL.

2 guys out of a NPL leauge? Pretty optimistic imo.

Yeah I find it quite amusing when people brag about being a NPL player, especially when they wave around their holy tournmanent card protector as if that proves they are good.

I was dating this girl awhile back who's family was into poker; her mum was this huge APL shark and somehow I was invited to this big home cash game. I sat to her left and 3-bet her so, so much, like 80% against her or something. It was funny how she knew she was being screwed over, but didn't know what to do about it. I then started floating her preflop a ton. I got away with it 4 or so times when I did it again with 75s, flop was 55Q, turn was a A. I floated again, she raised it, because of tells I over shipped and she snapped called with A7. After some monkey rage and her telling me how bad I was the night was over, think I was $400 up. Her mother hated me after that, so worth it though. Probably a bad idea to play poker with the gf parents though :D

How come you hate self-dealt games? I like them because how someone deals reveals a lot of how they're going to play

Dealing poker is my second job so the sheer amount of dumb that goes on in self-dealt games hurts my brain. Plus people keep looking at you with wonder in their eyes when you know how to riffle and pitch :p

Yeah was good to finally play with one of the CC members :), well played in the heads up aswell deserved to beat me lol

Aha yeah I did reply to your message but thats no worries I appreciate its hard when your multitabling. I multitable 5 tables in one go so im still able to hold a convo with anyone that wants one lol

Good game, great comeback after your Aces get cracked close to the bubble.

Want to chat a little but really can´t, I play with the XBX controller, so for chat need to shutdown tableninja and go to the keyboard (wich turn off the controller), still was cool to end up HU.

Any words on your rake yet?.

fyp. I say that because I really suck at shuffling/dealing.

FWIW, 90% of the dealers you see on televised games can't pitch to save themselves either so you're hardly alone ;)

Its probably best you don't chat anyway can focus more on your game. That is probably one of the factors that lets me down, can't concentrate for very long. find myself watching TV while multitabling SNG's lool

Ok just started the playing 3.40 Turbos x 18s at Stars... Small goal to start... play 75 this month.

This is my semi serious first attempt at ever playing sngs. Did the 75 and results below, all $3.00 turbos at Stars

My thoughts...Initially cashed in first 12/18 I played and thought OMG this looks easy... variance, cards and my bad play straightened me out,
And there are loads of multi tabling regs playing these,
And There are loads of fish playing these.

Started with the 9s and 18s and quicky discontinued the 9s when I saw how well I was doing in the 18s

Really pumped about the Average finish of 4.88 in the 18s

I AM new at the SnGs so what do I do next?
- Continue at the 3.00 18s?
- Worth trying the 45s @ 3.00?
- throw in some $6.50 18s ?

Either way I am comitted to do another 100 within the next 10-20 days

Also I realize the ROI and results are a hot streak and is a very small sample ...

Am I ready yet for SnG wizzard yet ?????
Thanks for input

Ha, run good brag.

Decided to try out moving from $1.10 45mans to $3.25s. Played a set of 4, final tabled 3, got 1 4th and 2 1st. Looks like time to move up from $1s! :)

That's such a small sample I wouldn't even bother looking at it. To gain some perspective, it is said that it takes 1000 games at the 45 SnG to determine whether one is a winning or losing player. Less variance in 9/18 though

Find which game you prefer, they're all good options. STT requires tight play, 45 aggressive play and 18 is somewhere in between

Meh, not planning on sticking around for 1000 games at these stakes. Just getting experience and moving up ASAP.

STT yes awful. STT = less bluff shoves more value shoves, never put your stack at risk when you're so close to cash

MTT-SnG depends on villain. Readless it'd be a fold; if he had 300 chips less/closer to stealing position it'd be much better. Just noticed this is a $.25. Save these plays for $3+

Heh... it didn't work at $3+ either. That's why I'm back grinding at $.25 no-rake 45-seat SnGs.

Anything pass $6 you need experience/to be half decent imo

Don't know whether first post was aimed at me, guessing it wasn't - sorry for replying if it wasn't ^_^

And I'm working on my game, etc, I'd like to be half decent. Roll is growing...
