Do you believe online poker is not random?

It is not possible for an A.I. to produce random numbers. There will always be a pattern. How many times have you guessed the turn or river cards? you didn,t guess them. You have seen the pattern before. How about that nice little pause on the river on most sites. Years ago i had a guy tell me that most people would stop playing online if it was as boring as live. Hence the action cards. you know what i mean...you have AQ of hearts, opponent has 83 spades. heart, heart, spade flop... what usually hits next? Your heart? Nope spade turn, spade flop. Bet size dont matter, go all-in with your nut flush draw after the flop, if you want. your gonna lose. But we all still play online thinking that we will win big someday. Might as well play bingo.

After years of playing I would say certain sites have a fair enough rng that I would say yes it is random. However there are a few sites out there I believe aren't random at all. But there's definitely room to argue both sides!

I've seen to many things happen to be jst random imo. It seems to convienent the RNG always seem to cooler to big stacks deep in the tourney.

I have a lot of doubts sometimes you have chips AA go all in a guy out of position with offs cards calls and wins i think it's very strange these are things that in live poker rarely happens someone holds carts offs calls an all in even more out of position.

I feel you and I feel the same way no matter what you have AA KK JJ QQ or AK always you lose for big stack when the table cleaning starts online poker is definitely not random they have to finish the tournament on time to take another tournament to the place so algorithm works very well and not fair for good players I usually win more hands and blufs in real poker than the online

Random I say NOT misprograming is more likely than they are rigged. So the larger the chip stack the larger the percentages of winning hands .

Unfortunately I have always believed that playing anything that the computer has control of is prone to controlled outcomes. Even though I believe this to be true, I still enjoy playing poker online.

Hello my dear, how are you? First I would like to address that downswings sometimes happen for months at a time even with the pros.
However I started a study on RNGs and equity comparing in different ways.

However , together with some friends here from CC , we came to the conclusion that to have a reliable sample for comparison I will have to count 40 million hands . This is because the spots I go to show dawn, and hands like this are needed to assess fairness.
It's an average of 2% of the total hands, and I say more, maybe 40 million is still not enough considering that it's 2% exactly, we would have 80 K hands, which is not a big volume.
In conclusion, rest assured, I had the same doubt however I assure you that they would not risk their reputation for such silly and low-profit issues, since credibility is worth much more. Besides that all sites including ACR have a rake structure, support, heavy investment... I mean it's already profitable in itself.
It will take me years to do this. And in the end I assure you that everything will be ok, I'll only be doing it because I love math and it helps in my studies

There is such a huge disincentive for poker sites to be non random. If a poker site were ever found to be non-random, it would probably be out of business the next week.

Shet on Line is such a piece of crime they don't even try anymore. I just lost w a full house to a person who got 4 nines, right at the end of a cheat and go. If they didn't cheat, they couldn't survive, imo. If you haven't been assaulted in a while, play at shet on line and put out a missing hole report soon after. Oh, on the previous cheat and go, I lost w AQh vs 52h...not making it up. They'll have THE phattest corner in hell, imo.
What sux is so what if they cheat? It could be on billboards and they'd still get paid. It's not like the channel 4 crime stoppers are gonna come down on em, and they would never make their WTSD stats public, so join up, bring your vaseline and give it up slowly.

100% they wouldn't risk their reputation in order to lose to a competitor in the market, if you doubt it so much go to the casino and play a live table, it doesn't change much...

even a person with 2.5% on the river has a chance to get close to 1 tournament exactly random, but at a distance poker is not a coincidence but rather but I think a lot of part due to the situation of randomness to play poker
