Poker helped me to develop intuition, thinking, patience, I met new players who taught me something, learned that poker is a whole life, the desire of people to learn something new.

The most important that I brought and I'm working hard on it is patience, several times I was good with stacks but the patience put me out from the tourney.

I have learned patience, I am TRYING to learn acceptance when things don't go my way, and I have learned that you can make every RIGHT decision and still lose.

And I have learned that your emotions about what happened does not change the result.

Poker has taught me so much, especially when I became a full time pro.

I believe poker is a microcosm of life. A lot of the lessons you learn in this game are also very important in all aspects of your life.

This game has taught me for example, the importance of a strong work ethic, emotional control, maintaining a healthy lifestyle (diet, fitness, sleep maximization), staying focused on the long run, not chasing fame, staying humble, always continuing to learn.

And so much more.

I learned that odds doesn't change the facts that even 10% winning can win easily.

Well, I learned to make decisions in very complicated situations, and in a short time so it also helps me a lot in statistics, to choose what would be good in my life and what not.

Self control, particularly in dealing with events you have no control over. Also the importance of being proactive instead of waiting for things to happen to you.

I learned that you don't always win when you should, you don't always lose when you should, and if you accept what just happened, it sure makes it easier to understand that you can't change it...

Well, I try.....

I found this in poker (Croatian sayings)

If it looks good doesn't have to taste good.
Revenge is a meal served cold.
Wait, wait... and you'll miss your train while you went to toilette.
Patience will make a salvation.
Coward person is a coward person.
Keep your friend close but your enemy - even closer
Don't throw away any stone (dollar) that you will need for a palace.
Rock by rock = house... dollar and dollar - money maker.
Dogs that bark - don't bite
Longer you wait, bigger is the reward !
History repeats itself

All these sayings are transferable to poker tables... try them !

Patience and perseverance, at least these are what this game should teach. Unfortunately, patience is still a problem for me ...

The most valuable thing I learned from poker is patience)

It has taken me a while to learn patience in poker. In life I've always been a little patient. So I guess life has brought patience to the poker table. I feel that this is the foundation of a good poker player and the essence of a quality life skill. The older I get I hope wiser I get when it comes to playing poker. I still like to mix it up a lit bit to much in poker. In life I'm much more straight forward with things.
