Poker in my daily life taught me patience, the drive for improvement, and control of my emotions. In addition to analyzing my actions and the actions of my opponents, I constantly ask myself the question: "For what purpose does the opponent oppose certain actions?" And I try to find an intelligible answer to this.

A lot, but to sum it up in a more "technical" way; Patience, discipline, focus, management

I have learned to stay calm so as not to get agitated even if things do not go as I would like and that a day will come when everything will be better, even in addition to my expectations :)

I learned that making the right decisions, in the long run, will always be the best way. No matter how often you don't win, the end result is always positive.

Poker allows you to understand the basics of investing
Calculating probabilities and assessing risk are the most important qualities of a financial investor. Poker promotes the development of investor qualities. At least, that's what numerous experts in the financial world say.

At its core, poker is a constant investment of money in situations that we consider to be positive. You will be able to use the skills acquired in the game in your future endeavors - and not only (and not so much) in the career of a player on the stock exchange, but also in any other field. You will begin to consider most of the important decisions in your life from the point of view of the expected profit and possible negative consequences. Whether it's a fresh business idea, thoughts about emigration, or even the beginning of a new relationship— you will habitually approach each of your actions based on how positive you see it “at a distance". After all, if all people, before doing something stupid, punched at least in some statistics the successes of their predecessors - wouldn't the world become a much more pleasant and safe place? And it would be nice to perceive your bank account as a "bankroll”, and dispose of it accordingly — this approach will surely save any of us from unnecessary expenses.

I believe the most thing that i learned from poker is that you need to be patient in some things. Self-control and some other things are important, if you want to have a success in anything.

I know we all sound like a broken record but I'm upvoting PATIENCE as well.

Every time I lose patience, I lose poker.

Did you learn anything from playing poker that helps you in your day to day life?

I think that every person should be constantly learning and applying this to his entire life. Poker teaches many things, patience is just 1, implementing a strategy that sometimes does not feel natural, even though the math is right. You need to overcome relying on feelings. Poker makes you pay attention to financial choices. The list can just keep going.

In fact, I studied engineering years ago, in college, and in my first career. I have learned to apply the same type of critical thinking for everything else in my life.
