RNG though: AA/KK/QQ all at once. I took a 3 week off poker after burning out, but now probably extending that to 7 weeks due to busy month. Playing only 1 or 2 sessions on the weekends until February . I hope I don't get too rusty after coming back

K-J hand:

Bet flop 5 BB, if he calls, bet turn, if he raises fold obviously.

If he calls flop, bet turn as well. Same thing again, fold to raise.

We can define dude's hand more clearly if we just CB bluff flop.

As played, fold river. Flush gets there, he could also have Qx. Only thing we may be beating is J-10. We could raise the turn as well, but we are raise/folding.

With all that has went on I am happy to say I am up money on my nemisis who was previously up a few buy ins on me. I made some good adjustments to his game, mainly the fact that he plays too passive OOP and too aggressive IP and while those things are good to do he goes overboard to where he can exploited for it, and I did just that. The two villains that I am losing the most money to are fish...

I have the next two days off and I'm going on to drop back down to 10NL and go on a super grind of hopefully 7-10k hands, starting tonight. I'll post a graph at the end, wish me luck!

These 3 gems happen in the first 100 hands of my session today.

Maybe I should just get drunk the next two days instead. I would probably save some money.

I just came out of over 3 weeks of things just like this.... I run bad too.

The good news is:

It will end whenever it ends. Each hand you play, it could be over. Keep grinding. Play well. That's all you can control.

I'm literally quitting my session after 1.1k hands, I can't take it anymore, not tonight at least. Unfortunately I just drank a cup of coffee... What to do what to do.

Enough ranting though, trying to stay away from negative vibes and want to post quality hands but that probably won't happen any time soon.

Wasn't a huge fan of calling off AK for 130bbs but you just can't fold it on this site. Most of these spew shoves are 88-JJ, AQ/AK with the occasional nuts sprinkled in.

Upswing! Hopefully this sticks some. Due to rakeback and my deposit bonus I'm only down $6 overall but without I think I'm down ~$100.

I wonder if people dump with AQs to me pre because of my image or if it is something they do regularly. Villain is even one of the "decent" LAGs, clearly spewy though.

Pretty rough session, some bad coolers and ran well under EV throughout the entirety. But I stuck through and played pretty well and even recovered an 8 buy in downswing only to end the session on a 9 buy in downswing. All in all I am pretty happy with the session and due to all the grinding I am on the in 219th place in the rake race and top 234 win a tournament entry to the $1k cage. Would be pretty awesome but I'm sure the heavy grinders are probably going to come in and crush me. Ya never know though and I'm feeling pretty confident I will get another long session in tomorrow. Hopefully another 5k hands.

A couple fun hands from tonight. Both against LAGs, I've been adjusting well to them. These two don't fold to 3 bets vs steals very often so I have to flat these mid strength hands. I'm more 3 bet or fold against most.

Nice read with the A-J! Playing live I don't encounter too many of these types... Most people are more passive. They are somewhat rare. However, they are great for action.

Keep doing your thing man

I'm at the point where I'm seriously considering if I can even beat the game. I'm confident that I can but isn't this potential delusion what keeps the poker economy flowing? Something to think about for sure, looks like I'm dropping back down to 2NL.

Make sure you extend your winning sessions and shrink the losing sessions.

The disulliosion is people think skills is what makes someone a winning player or merely reading a book or following laws.

What ive noticed is pros dont follow laws they follow principles but seem to also always have a plan or strategy to why... but they do chase wins but not losses.

Winning sessions is where its at why?
we play so much better when winning. more likely playing in the zone as well.

losing sessions.
we are more likely play longer and drain ourselves to make things back. It means lower winrate and also means we wont be fresh and ready to play longer when winning.

Also understand people interpreting hands on a forum perfectly doesnt mean they can do it live. If it was as easy as we think it should be then everyone does it.

Mastering this game is a long road and hard and itll age us... Discipline is the real key.... pushing luck... playing well is the key... people tend to just use skill but luck plays a huge part and knowing when to play God and get those miracle cards can help

Just need to have more than one angle at this game but whatever u do it has to involve discipline and a plans

Well said Aces, I was being a bit dramatic and probably just need to step back and take a closer look at my game.

I think when your being dramatic or fustrated this is signs of tilt or suboptimal play. We start adding reasons which enable the flood gates for heavy losses.

Sometimes wanting a closer look is the opposite.. id suggest the opposite and take a couple days off and enjoy outside activities.

Some good things you can do though is find out ur weaknesses and go into a session working on your weak areas. But also remember if your over worried about things your mind will be too busy stressing and you will slip and miss a lot of things you pickup on.

So yeah when losing its like an uphill battle in many ways.m we also blind ourselves and it feels we cant do anything right well thats correct in a sense we cant especially in that mind frame

Thanks man :) glad to get some good feedback, I remember when I first started on this thread all I use to get was insults and fruit thrown at me haha... But I thought I knew it all before I knew anything :)

Iplay is on the way of knowing he doesn't know anything... and that's the next step forward of thinking you know everything.

Self doubt is a major key and a strength in a poker player. This keeps us chipping away at our weaknesses and working on our game. But we will know in our game when we have advanced our strategies it'll be wrong, always wrong but that's okay. We are confident we are more advanced than the others that know everything!

Anyway i'll stop it there. I can go much deeper but I won't. It's time for a session.

This is a stretch lol, I have pretty damn good results both live and online over the last few years so claiming I don't know anything is kind of a stretch. Just so happens WPN is a tough game and even 2NL is 80% regs and only gets worse as you move up(granted bad regs but still regs). If you do some research a lot say WPN is a tougher game than PS because of the limited amount of traffic and IMO the difficulty of depositing really limits the amount of mouth breathers you run in to. You also have regs moving down in stakes just to put in volume for the rake race so you have 100NL players at 50, 50NL players at 25, 25NL players at 10 and so on.

Lastly, I'm only losing at -3bb/100 over ~40k hands so I'm right there and those 3bb could easily be made up over the amount of coolers I have been delivered in spots I know are coolers such as getting outflopped in 3 bet pots and set over set 4 times without me delivering any in return. It has been a rough run but I still think I'm capable of beating 10NL and breaking even at 25NL ATM.

I did heed your advice and didn't even look at ACR, CC or anything poker related the last 1.5 days and probably won't play again until tomorrow. Unfortunately this knocks me out of the rake race I was doing pretty well in but I'm sure once the 50NL grinders came along they would destroy my rank with 10% of the volume I could put in so it probably didn't matter anyway.

EDIT: Just checked my ACR and had a bunch of RB waiting for me and I'm only 5 places out of the money on the rake race so maybe I'll put in a long session tonight. Wish me luck!

serious sir

I'd like to know, what exactly are you saying aces? Spell it out. What are the issues with Iplay's game, mistakes, etc?

Are you saying he tilts and spews, are you saying he has a chip on his shoulder? Please expound on this a bit.

Agree'd Bean. I have my flaws but Aces is making it seem like I am a total fish or something. I am struggling playing on a new site, not a lifetime loser.

Aww, rake race ended tonight with me being a few from the $1k Cage ticket. If I would have grinded through I probably would have won it but I thought it went Mon-Sun. Oops
