Online for more people and more money, more value for the buy in. But live for the psychology and body language aspect of the game.

I like the feeling of playing live, holding cards and stacking chips. I do also like the speed of playing online and multitabling.

In person. It forces me to focus 100% on the game and my reads, and is incredibly fun. Online I tend to lose focus by playing more tables than I should.
Plus, you can’t emulate the feeling of physically reaching out and scooping up winnings from a monster hand. My first ever live tourney was the cheapest buy in for the wsop circuit at the bicycle (think it was ~$440ish buy in). And I ended up sitting next to and (purely by luck) knocking out someone that I recognized seeing on tv when I’d tune in to the wsop. Managed to make day 2 then I donked out on the first hand of the day lmao, but man... live tourneys are a blast.

I prefer to play in live tournaments, but I haven't played 20 interesting live tournaments yet.. I just played a lot of live with friends.. and online poker, although not the favorite, was certainly what gave me the most profit and joy![emoji41][emoji857]

Live tournaments of course, online you can always register to the next one, for live is a bit about the tells, speech play and the experience

Online for sure. I played offline couple of times. It was a fun exciting experience, good communication, but too stressful. Also I made much more mistakes offline :p

The feel of chips in your hand, and the joyous blunders of hand shaking and fumbling the chips when you're so damn excited to see your flop, is just an experience you can't have online :).

LIVE!!!

If you really are into poker than live poker WAS the only way to go. However, in our new world, at least for the foreseeable future, online is the only ‘safe and sane’ way to play! I live close to a casino that is currently open for cash games and I would love to go down and play. I have went down a few times but it was before this second wave of COVID hit the Midwest pretty hard. Now I am content to play online. In front of my big screen. With a good fire burning in the fireplace. With my favorite drink. Shuffle up and deal.
I love to play live poker but it’s not worth my life!!

Live vs Online Tourneys

I prefer online tournaments...because it is easier for me to tune out the competition and focus

The longer this situation goes the more i would like to have some live actions.

On the other hand what still is a major factor is that there is nearly no micros playing live.

Always prefer Live games. Cash and Tournament. I can concentrate better live on the games.

Live. I enjoy the social aspect of the game, and that is sadly lacking online.

Online vs live

I would prefer live poker any day. Because its always better looking eye to eye with someone rather then someone whos at there house who you will never know and will click the all in button with any hand. And will play a live game and freeze up. Plus players cant have solvers and bots. Which is why most online players suck in real life.

Only been able to play online tournaments, but I'm sure live is so much more fun. Touching the chips and the cards and the environment would probably be such a buzz. I hope to go soon.
