i love chilling in my house, drinking something, eating chips and playing online but playing live is another thrill altogether. would love to do it once all this covid thing ends once and for all...
Online tournaments have the advantage of not having to go to a poker club, they can be played both on weekends and on weekdays after work. But the real buzz I get when I play live tournaments. The dealer deals the cards slowly, in no hurry, you can talk with your opponents about poker topics and, in general, about life. There is no software in live poker, each player relies only on his experience and the ability to study the style of the opponents' play. There are a lot of moments that, unfortunately, online poker will never be able to convey.
Live tourneys are way more exciting from a memorable standpoint. If I win a live tournament I'm gonna remember it for the entire rest of my lifetime. I remember each and every live win (not that I have a ton of them but enough to satisfy) just like its a recording on a DVD disc.
But online tournaments are simply not memorable. Even my biggest online scores are nothing but a blur and (maybe, if i bothered to save it) a text file with the hand history.
It's all obviously due to the fact that we can only play one live tournament at a time, but if we're playing online we can almost always have multiple tournaments running at the same time... live tournaments are "high quality" from a "memorable" standpoint, while online tournaments are "high quantity" meaning very few of them are the least bit worth remembering. Life is just one long poker session, right?
I like live tournaments.
I do like some online tournaments turbo.
These online tournaments with unlimited rebuys and 2-4 hour registrations are pathetic.
I get a bigger rush from online than live. It’s faster and more hands. Though. I’m better live as I’m more reserved and patient
I do like playing in my underwear and going to get snacks at home during online.
Both require a lot of stamina so it’s still the same in that way
I love the game itself. I like aspects of both also. Online poker is so much faster and you cal ALWAYS play. I do agree with Aces74 about the rebuy and length of the rebuy process.

i think i prefer online poker.first because i never played live before, and i dont need to go to the next casino to play.and adding to this ,the next casino is in estoril(portugal).its far away
when I want to have fun I go to a live tournament believe or not but live use to be easier than online poker.
If you wanna to make some money on poker you need volume thats why online poker its bettter if you are looking to pay the bill or the ice cream of the weekend
I prefer online. More hands per hour, multi-Tabling, HUD, Location (play from where you want, where there is Internet), a Variety of sites, and Online tournaments last much less.
I was so into Live games, I used to run a weekly game at my local Pub. We regularly had 3 tables going and once we ran a special Bounty Hunter game near Christmas and we had 5 tables of 8 playing for a total prize pool of £500.
£100 in bounties and £400 in the prize pool for the top 5 players. It was a huge success and many of the players wanted to run one every month but the extra £100 for bounties was given by the Landlord and said he would not be doing it every month, Once a year for a Christmas treat was enough.
I prefer live to online cuz in live play people are more serious so they are much more fun. In online play some people are crazy and just all-in without thinking.
Oh!) I prefer online tournaments, because I always have mobile with me) Offline is interesting and I know who prefer its. But for me online better because of-multitabling, fast speed, can play with mobile and different types of tournaments and games)
I prefer online tournaments for convenience and that I can play from and wherever I want, in addition to the speed, the different types and modes of play ...
