ive never played live poker before, but heres my pros /cons list for each
PROS for live:
you can read poker faces
you can adapt to peoples play style instead of switching tables rapidly on online
you can talk to people and try to get information
CONS for live:
if u have a bad poker face, it may not turn out well for you
if you want to bully bluff, you may be embarassed
you might play differently live than you would online from anxiety
PROS for online:
hide behind a name
play aggro
way more variants of texas hold em game types
more fast paced games
freeroll tournaments
CONS for online:
more coolers
more experienced players
cant read people as well
PROS for live:
you can read poker faces

Hey, Everyone! In the present time I'm prefer Online Poker, first of all, because I'm few played in Live Poker,
secondly, I'm like near with my family more, and thirdly, because in Online Poker I won something,
since in Live Poker is not yet... May be in the future Luck more...
Conclusion: at the moment Online Poker is closer to me.

Online as you can do other stuffs as well as playing online poker which is great.

Definitely online play. Not only because I consider myself an easier person to read (nervous/figgity), but also lower stakes for higher rewards factor when playing online.

I have never actually played live but I am not sure I would be able to...
My face tells everything I am thinking and it is very hard to hide my emotions, I am very expressive whether I am pissed or happy.
Also, I like being able to play multiple games and watch tv/listen to music while I play. Plus my hubby also plays poker so it allows us to talk about our hands as we play.
One day maybe I will try playing live, but for now I will stick with online play only. I know we have talked about maybe getting a few friends together for a small, friendly game just to give it a try but none of our friends seem to have an interest in poker so for now that isn't an option.

Yes I agree I lost $1000.00 on full tilt when they were kick out of USA. They didnt make the payment

I like both, but a live, you feel everything on the ambient, the persons, very interting...
Face to face is my deal, but oline you have a lot diferents tournament in the same time and that possibilits you to play multiples windows.

Online is to easily manipulated, back doors, bots, huds, will the site actually pay out?
If they take in 5000 in entries and a bot, or plant wins 8 cash prizes..... more profit for that business. They don’t have to take first, but 5, 8, ... scoops back cash.
Plus free entries into tournament, satellites winner, have advantages over a direct buy in who has cash on the line.
Not to mention those players who get rack back or some other reward scheme.

I play mostly Live and i like it more. The interaction, fun, and learning is easyer to achieve. Besides of that, in my point of view, to play really well and understand the mind, we aall should spend some time playing live. However, is easier to play multiple tables and to acquire abyility of fast thinking playing online.
So, I prefer and my best results were Live and trainning myself to play online.

For couch potatoes, lovers of home comfort, who hate crowds and various parties, online games are the most suitable occupation! But for those who like movement, traveling, chatting with other people, playing live tournaments is just a find! I rather relate to the first type)))
