Strange things on 888

I have not yet played on 888 but i signed up a coupe days ago, did not receive £20 free as it stated, the customer support is awful, i have sent emails telling them i got no confirmation email for the welcome bonus, their response was to tell me to look in my emails for it or read T&C's to find out why im not eligible, although i am eligible. After reading a few forums i am contemplating deleting my account before i even put money on it

Have you checked, if the email is in your spam folder?

Ive both won and lost on river straights, flushes, etc.. The last day or two Ive had alot of beats on the river.. Thats poker lol

I think dissatisfaction or on the contrary pleasure in any poker room are discussed since the launch of these rooms.
who always loses says that online poker is rigged, who wins, he disputes the attacks. when I started playing, I also thought that all the systems are set up to pump out the loot, I even gave up the game for a few years until I came across Cards chat. after that, my opinion changed. I'll learn more about the game. now that I'm losing, I know it's my own fault. poker is a struggle, there is always a stronger one.

888 have some issues with their new software, which for many users make it crash, whenever there is a short disconnection. Also old messages randomly pop up, when you open the client, like "thank you for playing bla bla tournament", or "you won a ticket on your spin", even this happened the day before.

But overall I still think, it is a site worth playing on. Their reward system is for sure a whole lot better than the one on Stars, tournament fees are lower, and traffic is good enough, unless you are a mass multi tabling grinder. And sure those donkeys do put some beats on you, but that is the price, you need to pay for a higher long term winrate.

There has always been rigging on every poker site. Watch the first couple of hours in rebuy tourneys if you're low stack your always losing. They create action in the early stages of tourney. So they can meet the guarentee mark. Then the programming changes for the rest of the tournament.

i played poker stars for several years. bad hits did happen, but not as often as at 888poker. dy first thought was like “random random system on 888, maybe juggling it!”, but later i got another thought: “definitely, it depends on dubious fish players(playing all the time all-ins with 27 69 j3), which i see much more on 888 then on poker stars". so i think this problem was created by abundance of bad players

I think that on cash tables they may have their own interest in this. Players knowing that they may have a combination of risk and play before the river. After all, the more players put money on the table, the more the site has from this. And if you play in a tournament and players leave it faster, then they can still go to some tournament. This is beneficial to the site.

I don't what to think anymore about 888. I started to play there a few months ago and was pretty happy with the RNG. Didn't any notice any weird/coolers situations happening too often. But lately, things seems to have change a little at least for me. I might be just in a massive downsing but getting so many coolers seems a bit strange to me (I'm not talking only about my hands). I actually lost 2/3 of my bankroll. I tilted on the way I admit but never play trashy hands. I took a break. I played again today and basically here what happen. Folded top pair top kicker against a set . Then lost a buy-in with king high flush against As high flush. Then lost chips with KK against JTo that flopped 2 Ts (why not). And finally went Allin with AK against QQ. Hit 2 pairs but the other dude a set. So I mean every hands taking one by one are alright but this just happened in 20 mins after a break of hands like those ones and even worse.
So I don't what to think. Maybe it's 888 or maybe I am just unlucky and poker is not my thing. I don't know.

I just don’t want to believe that in rooms like 888 there are falsifications. I, like all normal players, analyze my game and very often unfair things happen. but I am sure that this is not the fault of the rooms. the game itself is so arranged that there is no definite scheme by which you can play constantly as a plus. I think the problem is more likely in us, so something needs to be changed in our game technique at this or that stage of the game. good luck.:damnmate:

I gotta say I've been playing on 888 since the start in 2014....but in my experiences on 888 over the past 2 years I've got to question the amount of coolers being dealt. I mean maybe I'm just in a 2 year long downswing and negative variance is strong with me I don't know. But more so than even those two things being highly unlikely is me losing at nearly an 85% clip over these two years when all the money is in the pot when I'm an 80% or better favorite. For example just over the last week cause it's fresh in my memory i had a 4.5 hour session where i went zero for 4 allin preflop with AA vs KK ...zero for 3 when flopping the nut straight...zero for 3 flopping a set and lost a hand where I flopped aces with king kicker and nut flush draw...all big pots and most of them all the money got in the pot. Then two days ago raise up QQ loose player 3 bets i call flop all blanks...i bet he calls...turn blank.. I check and he rips allin $188 into a $43 pot... I call it he rolls over K8 off suit no draws no pair....river K. Then a few orbits later player raises i call A10 suited dream flop 10 4 A rainbow....he bets i call...turn card 2 he jams allin i tank and decide he either has AK or a set and if he has a set owell and i call he rolls over AK ..boom river K. So basically if all the money ends up in the pot and i have hands I'm 80% or better and have no choice but to call I'm losing at an alarming rate considering the % when i make the call. Maybe their is prop players that can't lose once all the money is in the pot. These are the same players that are able to somehow fold the 2nd nut flush on the river vs the nut flush for 1/4 pot bet and lose the minimum but then snap call allins onnthe flop with A3 on a flop of QJ4 vs. a set with 8% equity and hit runner runner str8 for all the money. Idk you tell me how guys make all the right folds with excellent pot odds with 2nd nuts on the river then snap off allins for horrible pot odds with 8% equity on flops and still get all the money. Shills for the site...prop players that know they can't lose if all the money is in the pot ? I wouldn't even mind just picking up rags and folding but I continuously get big hands and go broke after i put all the money in. If i have the stone cold nuts i can't get any action.....if i get it allin with a 5 to 20 % chance of losing and get called I'm losing at an 85%ish clip. No win situation. Grind it out fold everything but the nuts and stay evenish and let the rake take more than what I'm making over a session or go for the max when I'm 80% or better and go broke. I believe for the most part no one is profiting much on 888....I think most of the money keeps getting disbursed around the tables and all goes to rake, tournament buyin fees and prop players in the long run. Basically the site eventually somehow gets a vast majority of all cash deposited on the site.

Yes...I notice what you mean, it's like a pre-determined winner each hand(even folded cards could've won with the nuts) just last week I experienced my first downswing on 888. It's like I had the "doom switch" turned on me, almost every game resulted in a suckout. I've had to fold semi-premiums after winning or sucking out on someone(next hands) and I wouldv'e lost if I continued with the aggression. Anyway thats just me talking, I'm used to it and adapted, which is why I rarely play anywhere else. :hmmmm2::hmmmm2::hmmmm2::hmmmm2::hmmmm2:

I think there has been a lot of talk about this. Maybe someone should do serious research to know if we are talking about something statistical or an impression only. Perhaps we could build a database of hands here in cardschat to corroborate if those situations happen more often than they should

i can t open the 888 Poker web App or login , triyed to login from a different device and it s same problem again . on phone it keeps telling me it can not connect , is anyone else facing the same prob at 888 poker ?

I have frequent problems with 888. And always different. The 888 has the most lousy program in my opinion. I have no problems with PS or partypoker. I often have to remove their program and download in a new way. Antivirus software also blocks 888 at startup. Bad site.

Yes my antivirus used to block me from accessing the app sometimes too . But found the solution to that . Thnx for uour help

Party. Stars. 888. All of them. Hot garbage.

To be fair, obv it’s better to be on a PC than the app. Obv the app isn’t going to fully replicate the PC version.

But disconnections. Inability to connect/reconnect. Inability to access the cashier or promotions.

If a poker site ever got their app fully together, they could really do well. Maybe a new top 3. Who knows?

correct , you are right all the apps run slow , it will take a few years until they will be able to run faaster lol .

hello i'm from indonesia i'm very interested in poker like john juanda, we are from the same country, but why in 888Poker we can't play with real money? Does this apply to all areas outside New Jersey, or is there another way?
