Dylan can you give us any info on rumours that Sars are developing a RUSH type game ???

Unfortunately I don't have any more info on the faster ring games product other than what Stefan posted that it's currently in the development stage.

As more info becomes available, I'll be sure to post it in this thread.

Hey Dylan,

just one thing that bugs me. When I log on, as I am typing my PW, this annoying pop up window with information - promotions etc - often comes as I am typing and if I have not finished typing my PW in, then as soon as the window pops up, my typing is disabled. It comes back when I click on the original log in window, but it is irritating. Not anything I cant live with, but would like to not have to.

Can this pop up be disabled?

The promotions dialog is indeed irritating. Would be much more user friendly if it only popped after logging in but we usually get a couple, one when opening the client, the other after logging in.

I find it actually works because if they weren't there I wouldn't think to go back and read any of the things I'd fleetingly seen whilst quick clicking away.

I'll pass on your annoyance with that pop-up and it hindering your password entry.

As for the box on the top right, it's supposed to change to a different news items every so often (roughly in 15 second intervals). I'll check to see if they've had any problems with it not scrolling on its own.

PokerStars canada Cup I Satellites are now running under 'Tourney' --> 'Regional'. There are satellites ranging from Freebuys, 50 FPP Sats, $0.50 (rebuy), $5.50 and $55 satellites to qualify for the $530, $250,000 guarantee Online final running October 23rd.

The 9 players that make the final table receive a round trip to the Bahamas, 3 nights hotel stay and $500 spending money to play a live final table during the PCA (for those playing the PCA Main Event, these two events don't overlap). The final table will be filmed for TV, so it should be an exciting event.

Feel free to ask any Canada Cup related questions in this thread.

B/c this is (mainly) a thread for suggested improvements for stars players who pay rake and would like a better exp for their money. I might be wrong here but I personally don't think stars care much about hit n runners at the play money tables, and I for one would be quiet annoyed at them paying any attention to a problem at the play money tables before trying to implement something that I, as a rake paying customer, would like to see happen.

Also, you had one member thinking that there may be a poss glitch in the s/ware, a member who pays rake to stars and might move if he hated being hit n run for example

This isn't a personal attack on you and i'm sorry that you can't play for real money on stars but I hope this is the last thing on their fix list

All answers were in respect to rake paying players (thus people who PAY to play, win or lose) vs players who play for free. No one has been treating you like a peon. Its just a question of priorities. As I said above, yes, it does suck. And I can dig that it pisses you off. No one is saying it shouldnt be looked at, just saying the real money issues should take precedence. I mean, say you still could play for money, wouldnt you feel the same way priority wise then?

I sincerely feel bad for all the US players. I am American as well, but live overseas, so I get to play, and would be crushed if I couldnt.

But, and I really do not know this, isnt there still the odd site that still is playable for money with withdrawal options?

And, seriously, I respect your right to want this changed. I just think you should respect rake payers right to want real money problem come first.

It's definitely not my intent to treat you or the U.S. market disrespectfully. The .NET client has never had a feature that prevented players from "going south". The .NET client has many less features than its sister .COM client as it is intended only for play money use. This doesn't have anything to do with how we view U.S. players, but rather is simply a matter of two different Software clients with varying levels of features.

I have cascaded your suggestions to our team members that work on the .NET software for their review.

Most of us are quite grateful for the way PS has treated their US customers.

They gave us all of our money back and even continue to let us use their site - even if only for play money. We can still have league games and special events there.

I think they have bent over backwards for us - and are doing all they can to treat us respectfully and keep us "on the scene" - so that when we can play there again one day for real money our decision to play there will be easy.

I relayed the problem over to the product team, but I wasn't aware of any changes implemented (it has been the long Thanksgiving weekend up here in Canada so that might explain it). I can't take the credit for it, but I'm glad to hear you like whatever was done!

Won the .50 c tourney seat and was immediately entered into the $5.50 game which was already running for 40 ish minutes or so, this was a piss off as it was after 10.00 pm already. So badly shortstacked it did not seem fair.
story ends good as I squeezed my way into winning a $55.00 entry, withdrew and took the tourney dollars, but still was after 1.00 a.m. when ended
