Do you trust Bovada?

Not sure what you mean. Bovada allows you to download HH's a day or so later, but AFAIK they're only your cards and showdown cards, same as any standard HH. Not "all hole cards." But the bigger issue is that players are anonymous, so you can never build a sample beyond one game, nor tie it to a specific person. Also, you must use a converter to make them look like pokerstars or some other HH format before you can import them into a tracker to actually do any analysis on them. Which if they weren't anonymous wouldn't be so terrible, just inconvenient, but as-is it's only good for self-analysis.

as kid said all whole cards are in the hh, john A has some hh's like it posted around from bovada, a recent one he lost quads over quads, pretty sick lol.

You do actually get all the hole cards but it still does you very little good in catching cheats.

I like playing there and I do not think that they cheat. They do not have to, house always wins taking a rake. Anonymity of players is not bothering me.

Wow, interesting that they give you all hole cards, but then again I guess there's no much for players to object to about it since they can't be identified.

Yeah, I mean it makes sense that you could conceivably spot collusion using it but the only thing you could do would be to report it and hope Bovada took action.

True, happened to me before Black Friday happened. I used to play at bodog, one time couple players were chatting off about what cards they hold in a 9 man s&g. I was pissed off so I contacted customer support to come take a look. I didn't know if they were colluding or not but I got an email from bdodog saying that my money was refunded for that game, that they found fraudulent activity and appropriate measures were taken. They thanked me for contacting them and that's it lol. Otherwise than that bogdog has been good to me in the past, I cashed out so many checks from them and never had an issue(couple were bad but was sent another in a couple days). Reputable sites like bodog/bovada I trust. If you ever see anything at a table suspicious just contact them.

I was playing in a 6 man Double-Up SnG. Got down to 4 people left, and the chip leader says "I like you player 5 (who wasn't me), I'm gonna try to help you win." Folded to him at least 3 or 4 times, saying, "Just bet and I'll fold" etc etc. I was prepared to send it to Bovada and ask for collusion if I didn't win. Luckily I won, but still...

Anyways crusinn, it's nice to know that they at least reimburse you if there is something fishy going on

I don't really trust any of these sites because ,it's part of my personality.I try to block this out of my mind ,because as soon as you think online poker is rigged you might as well quit playing ,because you go into the game with a self defeated mind set.

You guys bring up very valid points. I agree with Dmorris that cheating is harder to catch at bovada then other online poker rooms. That being said I also think it is harder to cheat on bovada then it is the other rooms. With the site being anonymous its harder to sit at the same table or register in the same game. I am sure there are other ways to cheat but cheating with another person at the same table is harder. Bovada has a huge player base so there games and seats fill up quickly which adds to the difficulty of cheating. In my opinion they are the best site for US casual players.

great post, i mostly play on bovada, and i see some of the crazyest hands as well as weird hands win like j-3 vs A-A OR, K-K, things you would rarly see at a live table happens quite a few time every hr in the same turny.
i have won a few of the hand, so i cant complain too much.
i think the hands are pre planed and are made to make a few people get nice hands to create more action and fun for the player.

I also am going to agree with DM on this one. I have just started there not too long ago and I have never made a deposit on bovada.I have gone from freeroller to real money player and have won a few tournaments.i dont like to tell ppl how much my bankroll is but i will say its 3 digits.

I really do not think Bodava cheats. Pretty sure they have a good business without cheating. Also I agree their support and cash-out is good cannot complain.
But I miss knowing who the players are.

Personally I don't play sng and cash games there AT ALL. Those are way more vulnerable to player collusion then MTT, especially with the numbered players ... But bigger MTT's are reasonably safe and I like them.

am i worried about cheating no....bovada is a good site full of fishy players and even if they were cheating the stakes theyd be cheating at i wouldent have to worry about cheaters for a very very long time

I only play a little bit on Bodog and I only play in games where I think it is not easy for cheating. I stay away from the double ups the most and the cash tables and mostly only play in tournaments.

I have played at Bovada for awhile though i use the sportsbook more then anything when i was able gamble on a regular basis but i never felt like the poker client was cheating or unfair. It's just that a lot of the people don't like the fact that they can't track another player due to the # system, i personally think it is great.

I agree that it is the best worst site out there for US players. The bad beats are all over the place constantly but they run the most value tourneys and the payouts are quick and easy. Its a tough site for good players though. There are too many bad players that prosper to often. I feel its all in the timing inside peoples bets I would fold a hand i wanted to be loose on and some one will shove which would only be a little but there would be a raise before that with another. Now, O know they are both sitting with AK, AA, ect. so I fold only to see the draw showing me I could have knocked them both out. Next hand, They give me a AQ suited in big blind everyone folds to the dealer where he shoves at 300-600bb so I would call to find him on poc 66's and no A or Q in sight. That stuff makes me go crazy!!!!

300-600bb's eh? Tough site for good players because of bad beats? The bad players are the biggest winners and prosper on the client? Your AQ loses to 66 and that is not normal?

Play on Bovada seems mostly ok to me. There are probably a few cheats, but there are always cheats in poker games. It is your responsibility to pay attention to opponents play and note potential colluders or bots. If a game feels shady, change tables.

The play on Bovada does seem odd sometimes but that is fine with me. People just do odd and silly things. Makes it easier to get the chips in while ahead. I dont have any issues with the site. The playing with numbers gameplay doesnt bothor me at all at this point. I just mute everybody anyways.
