Let's stop the derail - that is not why this thread was created. Deleted the last few posts which were just 2 people debating with each other - take it to pm if you want to have that discussion with each other.

Fair enough and understood. No need to debate any further. :creep:

i do like freerolls, i also like when people do the simplest of research before they put their money anywhere, be it a poker site or anything else. if one doesnt do the most basic of research before depositing, then they deserve to get burned.
And part of that research is checking reviews on a number of sites, with CC being a large poker community with high traffic it is no question that the review section on this site has good traffic which is why people ITT want locks review changed from its current glowing recommendation to a more realistic and non flattering one.
The whole point of this thread was to get CC to make some adjustments(or rather updates) to its reviews and endorsements, and so far the staff has been more then helpful in making quick fixes and giving answers and promising that Nick will look into it when he gets back from vacation.

Let's not focus on those who get burned. Is it right for anyone to promote a site with a history of stealing money? If you can honestly answer yes to that question then I don't even know what to say anymore.

No one's blaming CC for others getting scammed they are only requesting that they cease promoting them at this time.

We were told that a number of payments were made yesterday - not sure how to confirm that since I don't think we have loads of ROW people here waiting for withdrawals from Lock.

Are any of you waiting for payments - might not be a bad idea to have a list to see if there is anyway we can assist.

What I would like is for each CC member (who joined before this post was made) who is waiting for a Lock withdrawal (whether linked to us or not) - to pm me the following information:

Your Lock username and email (will not be posted in this thread in updates)
the date of your withdrawal request
the amount of your withdrawal

Nick is still out of town but has taken the time to contact Lock and we are expecting to hear from an official spokesperson soon. (the words expecting and soon are positive thinking!).

Meanwhile he is quickly making a few temporary changes around the forum. (and the word temporary is positive thinking as well lol).

We will give this a little bit of time -though we know people have been waiting at 2p2 for weeks/months to hear things - this is our 1st attempt to get some answers and explanations here for you guys. (and for us)

We were told that a number of payments were made yesterday - not sure how to confirm that since I don't think we have loads of ROW people here waiting for withdrawals from Lock.

Your Lock username and email
the date of your withdrawal request
the amount of your withdrawal

I will keep this information confidential and will only share it directly with Lock.

Very kool that there is something positive evolving for the situation. The assistance (in anyway shape or form) is greatly appreciated.

I have 5 members who have submitted their withdrawal details to me so far. I would like to send the list in early next week so if any of you want to be on it send me a pm this weekend. I have been assured that they will be processed in a timely manner.

Dakota have you followed the 2p2 thread on this topic at all? It's all well and great that they're giving you positive info but the way you are portraying this CC has some sort of inside connection via lock that is more likely to be true. This is not the case and is literally the line that Lock support as well as their pros have been spouting for almost a year now. There's a thread over there with quotes from Shane, the 2p2 Lock support rep, talking about how withdrawal times were a priority and should be improving in the coming weeks from as far back as June of last year.

I'm sure you aren't intentionally misleading people, but I want to make sure you are aware of the entire timeline, because in a vacuum this looks like lock may be improving, but when they've used the same tactics now for almost a year and nothing has happened the tactics start to lose their credibility. I made a slightly positive post about lock on 2p2 and about how the marketplace should stay open because people might want to speculate on lock funds being undervalued right now and my inbox was flooded with offers to sell me Lock money at as low as 25%. Lock is in serious trouble and their responses do not seem like the responses of a company that is solvent and wants to continue to do business.

I hope I'm wrong, but don't buy into their claims of things improving in the coming weeks, wait until stuff actually starts to improve. Actions speak volumes louder than words.

I haven't made any statements at all that things will be improving there in the next few weeks and am basically doing exactly what you are suggesting. Waiting til I see it happening. For the record they made no such promise to me either.

I realize this is a huge global issue and won't be happy until it is resolved for everyone. However I don't have time to spend wading through the loads of threads at 2p2 nor do I have time to try to save the world. I feel like our responsibility is directly to our members here at Cardschat - ones who have perhaps used our link to sign up and deposit - or even if they didn't use our link have seen us promoting Lock. Those are the players I want to try to help. If I can do anything at all to help them get their withdrawals processed then I think I am doing something good at least in our small little world.

I have been promised that the members I submit to them will get there deposits processed in a timely manner and I am going to give Lock one chance to follow through with that promise. If it doesn't happen we will deal with that.

This promise was not made to me by Shane or an affiliate rep - I am not going to be name dropping but it was made by someone who can definitely make it happen. I am taking that person at their word until shown otherwise.

I have not personally promised our members that their withdrawals will now be processed in a timely manner - I am passing along a promise that was made to me and I am personally going to trust in it based on how it was made.
