I'm glad I came across this thread. I started playing on Bodog several years ago, I'm guessing before they pulled from the US...I guess it was 2-3 years or so ago. I stopped playing online poker and only played live until the last 2 months or so. Over the summer they sent me a postcard saying "they missed me" so I downloaded their software on my new laptop - dual processor, 4 g, etc - Anyway, I have experienced the same problems that have been mentioned in this thread - which I find rather strange because the Bodog Software used to run fine on my older computer that had 1/10th YES 1/10 of the speed and memory of my new one - ??? The Bodog software alone now takes up more memory on my new comp then than double the entire capacity of my old one. This is not only bizarre but also worrisome. The software must be filled with all types of spyware, etc - why else would it take up so many resources???
I put up with it freezing up until the other day when I woke up with AA in the middle of a tourney - I flopped a set of aces - then checked the flop, villain pushes half his stack in - I hit the all in button - BUT NO RESPONSE - IT FROZE UP ON ME AND I AUTOMATICALLY FOLDED THE HAND - AFTER I HAD PUT ABOUT 30% OF MY STACK IN PRE-FLOP, not to mention I would have doubled up. This not only made me hit the roof - it sent me on total tilt - I mean, come on - this game has enough challenges on it's own with all the donkey dodging and bad beats you have to endure - software problems and losing hands because of it?? No, I don't think so.
So I decided to email customer support and they had the balls to tell me that the problem was on my part. Here is their pompous response:
[FONT=Verdana, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif]Dear Alex,
Thank you for contacting Bodog Poker Customer Service.

[FONT=Verdana, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif]We understand your concern that the issues may be originating from our end; however, when one player is disconnected, yet the game continues on with all other clients still playing, the problem obviously originates from, and is isolated to, that one player. If it were an issue with our servers, all players would be affected. In that case, we would take full responsibility and refund all buy-ins.

I mean, what a joke. Several players were complaining about lag and it freezing up - and I told them that. Here was my response:

,
Thanks for responding. That actually is NOT the case. Many players have been complaining about similar problems with YOUR software all week and not just in that table but many others as well. I do not know what the problem is but I GUARANTEE YOU IT IS ON YOUR SIDE. I play poker for a living and play on many sites and yours is the only one I have had problems with. I showed my pc and the problems to an IT professional and he said that it was a problem with YOUR software and program. But that's ok, if you do not want to take responsibility, then I will more than happy to take my business elsewhere and I will be sure to tell everyone I know, on the half a dozen poker message boards and forums that I belong to, about my experience.
Cheers,
Then it looks as if they just sent me a copy and paste about downloading this and restarting that bs:

To fix your issue, please open Internet Explorer and load the following website:
https://account.live.com/autocare.aspx
This is a tool developed by Microsoft that will allow us to provide you with a multitude of troubleshooting steps with one simple program.
When you click on the link, you will be taken to a website titled "Download MSN Auto Care". You want to click on the link that says 'Download on Windows XP or later'. From here, you will be prompted to open a file called "acliteinstaller.exe". Click on 'Run' to initiate the download and installation of this program.
When the program has finished installing, you will see the 'Auto Care' box appear on your screen. Select option #4 'MSN Messenger Related Issues' from the drop down list and click 'Diagnose and Fix'.
The program will prompt you to confirm information such as your date and time. If your computer date and time is incorrect, it can be changed by clicking on the 'Change' button. To delete your temporary internet files and cookies, please click 'Yes' when prompted. When the program has completed running, feel free to close it.
At this point, we will have you restart your computer. While you are restarting your computer, we ask that you also unplug the power to your high speed internet modem and plug it in after five seconds. This will reboot not only your computer but your internet connection.

The funny thing is, is that I don't even use internet explorer, I use firefox - they just assume things - unbelievable.
Anyway, just thought you guys should know -Heck, if they weren't going to refund my entry, I would have been happy with an apology - I didn't even get that - instead they said it was my fault and gave me a bunch of BS to do - what a joke.
