I'm okay with this. If we live in a democratic world, why are there women's tournaments and not men's tournaments? This is even a shame. And this is already turning out to be a refusal to emancipate.

Maybe it's stupid, but I see a way out of discouraging men from getting into our games in only one way: to set a really very high cost of entry to the tournament, and at the same time a very high percentage of discounts for women.
Something like: entry $20,000 and a 99.9% discount for women. 🙈🙉🙊
Thus, men will have no desire to fit into such an event, and if there is a crazy enthusiast, then women will be able to profit from it, since the prize fund will grow dramatically.
Although, I'm sure that this is also an impossible option, but you can dream.😄The WSOP

The wsop already employ this tactic as a disincentive. They charge $10,000 to enter the Women's Event then discount women 90% to make their entry $1,000.

Men therefore have to pay the 10K.

I know that this strategic move is already being used. My idea was to make the entrance fee completely tasteless for men, and the discount even tastier for women. It's just that maybe it's really impossible (I don't really know about system the distribution of the prize pool, rake and other things that can prevent a very high buy-in and a very high discount). 🤷‍♀️
But Agree, men will think 10 times before deciding to invade women's territory if the entrance for them will cost $ 50,000, and for women $ 500 (from the field of fiction: dreams, dreams🤣🤣🤣).

The number of lawsuits I've seen over the past 3 years, has made me rethinking on how things could be filed. I've seen lawsuits put onto men for something in a work place and it has been turned around on to the women in the work place, I've also seen it the other way around. It's why I said, what I did in the last post in here.

I've had to dig into laws and look for ways to get out of crap, and what laws I can use if I'm ever stuck into this.

I'm not a lawyer, but that sounds discriminatory to me, but something needs to be done to prevent it happening again.

The US is a republic! Feminist are why there are only ladies tournaments/games/events, but they won't stand behind it, since they are now being called out for it. They forgot the law works both ways.

Edit: yes, I know the laws that good, I had to deal with a few people on FB a long time ago, who said about coming after me, till they found out they would have to come out to my state and file the suit.. And they would of lost the suit

You're very right on that!! I could drop a lawsuit at a drop of a hat!
Make both pay the same for a buy-in, since the payout is about the same.

They couldn't block him from playing in the first place, but they could of had him removed if he was harassing them or saying $hit that would of been listed as Harassment. Women have had their eyes opened in the past 5/6 years, that this works both ways, but Us guys didn't want to be dicks about it, till they got to pushing to much. Gals wanted to crash guys only events, it's just going the other way!
Don't get me wrong, I've always seen ladies games, for ladies, but if you push to much, it will backfire on you, as it has now!!

I'm not a lawyer either and I don't know how everything works there, but I assume that not being able to prohibit men from participating in certain tournaments (since this is discrimination), the establishment of a discount by internal regulations for certain categories is the only lever that the organizers can pull without violating the law. 🤷‍♀️
And as I said, this is just my idea from the field of fiction. I did not come to this topic to argue or claim that I am right.🙂

That may still be discrimination, only giving women a discount again sounds discriminatory due to sex. I'm not trying to argue either, it's a slippery slope that could lead to lawsuits for the event organisers.

a ladies' tourney should also be held in a more private area with less stress on the new ladies.
if they had their own room they could make it a ladies-only room and men could be charged with trespass.
put this sign on the door with a security guard.

also, this should not be taken so lightly, the men who bulldog their way into a ladies' tourney
should be chastised and shunned in the poker community.
also if I'm a typical large corporation I can violate any of your rights and you can sue me if
you can handle a court battle that drags on for years and is very costly.

I'm not arguing about it either, Just pointing out what laws could be used by ladies.. lawyers are told to think outside of the box when dealing with cases like this, and to use other laws on the books to help them out. I've seen newer lawyers use this, and it works 90% of the time.

It's only time before we see this on restrooms.. This world is going nuts!!!!

Does that sound discriminatory to you?

As soon as we eliminate a gender with the word "only" we start to discriminate, laws are usually black and white, not much grey area.

The event organisers could also take the guys money and then give them a beating and throw them out, it's not unheard of to get a beating from security staff at casinos.

Not all who wear dresses are women. ;) who does the checking to confirm. :p Do we tell men who identify as a woman that they can't play, the world is becoming more diverse everyday.

If the rules say "just for women" respect to the rules is necessary.... But if he was accepted in by the woman players I think it is OK....It is their problem to accept or not.

no :p just a big changing room ;)
I like your idea, that's the way I would handle it if it was my club.
no one wears a dress or needs to since they can't discriminate and men who identify as women are also welcome.

You misunderstood a little. 🙂
Yes, this is a women's event, but in fact, the organizers cannot prohibit men from participating, as this would be a violation on their part.

In order to avoid a large number of male participants, the organizers charge them the full cost of the contribution, and make an impressive discount for women.

The problem is that some men are not afraid of the amount of the contribution and they still strive to participate in such events, looking for benefits in this (small competition, confidence that rivals are weaker, etc.). 🤷‍♀️
Unfortunately, the opinion of the ladies does not play any role here, since if a man came to this tournament, the organizers do not have the right to refuse him.

From the point of view, there should be no separation, but rather a restriction on a type of gender that respects that option.

Completely wrong if you ask me. Poker is a male dominated game. Assuming here but women who want to play the game, as a beginner, women only games is probably the best environment for them
