Hi forum,

I am playing an MTT and I came across a player who seemed to know the game, so I looked him up on SharkScope. Indeed he's a winning player over 14k MTTs with an ROI close to 30%.

When I checked the tabs, I noticed he's currently playing 17 MTTs.

How can he do that?

He's also not really playing slow, responding to his actions in 2-3 seconds?

I'm amazed.

Edit:
Ah, I looked myself up and it also shows the MTTs where you busted as "running". So that explains it quite a bit.
If he's making such quick moves at so many tables, maybe it's a bot?

I believe that with 2 good monitors and a little experience it is completely possible.

It seems it takes a special kind of person to keep track of so many games at a time. I do have 3- 24" monitors, and just having 3 games up at once can get hectic at times. I can't imagine having 20+ going and making any sort of progress.

The question I have is what sort of limits are you playing?
What is your average BB/100?
Would it not make more sense to go up a level or two and keep the game count down to a reasonably dull roar?

Yes, it's very hard to play, but if you have already studied poker math and know how to play, I think your decision won't go away because of this, these people try to play more tables at the same time to get from several tables to the final and the profit will be higher than you play on one table and then on the other you can lose and spend a lot of time

Ahhh, well there still must be some sort of expected ROI, after all, playing 20 tables for the adrenaline rush only goes so far! LOL

I think it would not be ideal to play with 17 tables at the same time, I think you can not concentrate better, it is recommended to play a maximum of 9 tournaments in one session.

WOW
17 tables is really cool, especially if there are good results. Personally, it is difficult for me to play more than 4x.

The guy I posted the screenshot of his screens while he was playing 26 tables plays an avg. buyin of ~$90 with an ROI +30%. Later in his session he will typically play 14-16 tables.

I might be the most boring person in existence, but I never played on more than one table at a time. But why? Every game I play, Poker, Chess, Risk, ****ing Candy Crush ... every game is an activity I can only fully enjoy with my full concentration focused on one specific thing, that is one match at a time. I could easily keep track with 3-5 tables simultaneously, but for me that would take away the ... let's say the sincerity of the game.

@Andyreas its very possible to play a multitude of tables at the same time especially if you get your settings configured. Going back some years (decade at least) a friend of mine had a stakes gig and was multi tabling 5 to 8hrs a day for months. He was popping 12 and 15 often. Short cuts for each street for bet sizing, hot keys and decent mouse and obviously selecting the correct games and your laughing. It stops you from being personally attached to the games individually mind, not a problem I’d imagine with software and prior data I’d imagine. I’m looking to multi table soon once I get all the bits together I need. Currently looking at this software you all use.... sheet, it’s like looking at programming code lol.

I’ve been watching 12+ tables myself for the last few day since downloading that Hand2Note and watching for real time changes and what not on the spot as a better way to understand it. I’m lost on online terminology so I’m crash coursing when 8 next go casino next week by paying one of the players there to talk me through it in dummy language lol... It’s gonna be hilarious and I’m gonna get a heap of stick as ive always been anti 101 in everytying lol

Triple whammy lol.... A dummy question but, the hand data that these HUD’s use. Is there an external source for global hand data that can be bought or accessed? Ie. Data on the other players?

Oh my goodness ! I can't but say bravo 👍👍, I myself start having troubles when I have 6 tables going, but on one monitor though, never tried more so far. What about you Poker Orifice ?

Hi.
6 tables is my maximum. In general, I can hardly imagine how it is possible to play more than 10. But 17 is definitely a record.

That ^ is cheating! Not allowed on any of the sites!
Years ago (15yrs.) you could purchase large amounts of hand histories from PTR (Poker Table Ratings) but stuff like that (& PokerEdge, Poker Crusher, etc.) has been history for many, many years!

I am just starting back on MTT's - - played a small session on Sunday and played maybe 25 MTT's in total, 8 - 10 tabling.
I am normally playing 4tables of Zoom, FastForward, SPEED, Blitz, so I am used to playing lots of hands (of course MTT's are different but I did play them in the past & actually hope to play 12-15 tables once I get set up & playing for awhile but for now this is just micro & low stakes.. abi $10).

fwiw, the one player I mentioned, 26-tabling early in his session. With an abi of ~$100 ($33 to $320 but does play the $1k buyin some times) he typically spends $5k on buyins per day!
Also, he does all of this 'WITHOUT' a HUD. So for all of the posters suggesting this stuff is easy, once you have the right software/HUD, etc.,... perhaps this isn't the game changer.

As Poker Orifice says, its not allowed on any site to buy or sell hand histories. A tracker is only for storing hands, where you were at the table yourself. Presumably illegal datamining still takes place, but I know nothing about it. And even if I did, I would not be sharing tips on, how to cheat other players, since I want the games to be as honest and clean as possible ;)
