Do you play poker lying down or sitting down?

I play sitting in my recliner. I may occasionally lean back since I play on a laptop but in a long tournament I have to be sitting up or I might accidentally doze off a little!!! Lol. It had happened sorry to say.

Sometimes I play lying on the couch. It is certainly more comfortable, but in this position I relax a lot and start to lose concentration. I noticed that playing lying down I always have worse results than playing sitting. I wonder what my results would be like if I played standing

I also play sitting down. Unfortunately, the couch is too far from my PC, so I can't play lying down. But I think it would be much more convenient to play lying down, the main thing is not to fall asleep

When I played seriously (now over ten years ago) I could sit and play for over 24 hours with just toilet breaks. Since I played around 6 fast SH tables it was difficult to schedule breaks especially when you had some mega-fish at the tables.

My veins in my lower legs got damaged from all the sitting so if you are not a professional who earns a lot of money: take your breaks!

Now at least the tournaments have a short (5 min) synchronized break. I played cash games mostly but the MTTs could go on at a different phase at that time. Some people pissed into a bottle not to miss hands.

When at home i play and my kitchen table on the laptop and at my desk when sneaking in a cheeky game at work.

Sometimes towards the end of my session 1 tabling i will switch to mobile and lay down.

Usually to my detriment as i tend to fall asleep oops.

I sometimes walk around multitasking playing poker on my phone with other things. But I can’t say that I’ve ever played lying down.

Trying to think of the reaction I’d get from my wife if I tried that in bed while …. you know. 🙃🙂

I play in both cases, and yet I feel comfortable playing on the couch or bed.
A smartphone is suitable for playing while lying on the couch, all online poker rooms now have an App.
