Hehe, well quite.

So even if they fold before SD you get to see their HCs. That's incredible. It gives you info on how they play much more quickly than normal then. Weird.

Yes, correct. First time really that you can see every hole card from every hand. Pretty enlightening honestly. I've seen some insane stuff I never really could quantify based on assumptions before, that now I can draw conclusions from.

Well, doesn't have anything to do w/ Leak Buster really, but it makes for a more complete analysis.
I was joking like you could use it during play. I didn't even realize Bovada wrote hhs to the local drive. I'm assuming that is is written AFTER the hand is played so it can't be exploited during play?

lol... Gotcha, I was thinking you meant for analysis.

Yes, you need to wait 24 hours to get the HH's from there.

I guess the delay coupled with the anonymous play makes getting all the hole card data fairly meaningless except for spotting site/stake wide trends.

I've found it's helpful for analyzing post flop situations, and understanding some of the general personality types that play on there better. And even though you're playing against hand ranges, it's still also nice to know when you got bluffed or made a good fold. :) First time ever that you can really see all of the play and what different player types are actually doing. I was pretty surprised in a lot of spots actually. Opened my eyes up a bit wider.

Now that you have reached your goal for Honeymoon, will you keep playing the same stakes? Any new challenges? Any new videos on the horizon?

Yes, for awhile until I build it up a bit. I won't be cashing it out as frequent. I'm not entirely sure how much I want to keep online. I lost quite a bit between absolute and full tilt. FT I will be getting back I hope at some point soon, although that was a small part of my bankroll. Most was on absolute and stars.

No new challenges right now, but I am working on a couple of new projects. I don't have immediate plans for a video, but was thinking about possibly opening up doing some HH videos from members on here who wanted some review.

Where did you go? How was it?

We scaled it back after going way over budget for the wedding (as expected). :) So we are going to Punta Cana. Wedding is June 1st, so haven't gone yet, but will post some pics when I get back for sure.

I'd be interested in hearing a funny story or two.

I have a recent poker story that's pretty funny, but it's also sad. I guess it's a classic comic tragedy. I'll update when I have a bit more time.

Nothing but the best for my lady... we don't do that kind of fine dinning usually, but a man can dream.

Reached my goal pretty easily, and it was fun playing these stakes. Took me maybe two weeks to totally adjust my game, and you can kind of see that in my graph, but after that I think I did pretty good. :)

Online these are my "usual" stakes for now. Pre-black Friday I was a 400-1k NL reg and played as high as 25/50. But I've always tried to play some decent samples at 100 and 200 nl as well since that's a bulk of what players look for help in are those limits and under. Like I said earlier, I'm not 100% sure what I'm going to plan to play up to online. After losing so much in a blink of an eye before, I'm not exactly eager to take that chance again. Keeping a smaller roll and playing to keep my game fresh is probably going to be the extent of what I do until full legislation is worked out in the U.S.

Well, you could always keep a partitioned roll where you have like 5-10 BIs onsite and the rest off, then redeposit if you lose and cash out regularly if you win.

Besides, considering what your winrate graph looks like you could just run a shallow roll. :D It doesn't seem like downswings are a serious concern for you.

And also you can do some live grinding I presume? Considering your crush-rate at NL200 you could probably get away with playing pretty much any stakes you can find/roll live.

It says he lives in Huntington Beach which is not far from Hawaiian Gardens Casino. The Commerce is not so far away either, nor the Bike, both of which would be considered world class poker rooms. Remember, that most pros will be playing LA except for events in Vegas. There are more, bigger games here in L.A. on average than in Vegas. But Vegas has the Glitz.

Ever since the whole FTP scenario I only keep 20buyins online at once. Probably what I should have been doing anyway to make some interest on my roll, my money's probably as safe as it can be at Stars.

I do shallow grind online, and I play live a lot more than I used to. I can't do 5 buy-ins though, even at 200NL. I can still have some quick swings, and I've never gone bust in my career (now over 8 years). Between LA and San Diego, there are plenty of good games and spots. I also go to Vegas a few times a year as well.

That being said, the primary reason I even teach and create training applications is because live grinding and playing for a living isn't a suitable lifestyle for me once I had kids. For some people it's fine, but I think they are in the very small minority.

I'd love to play more high stakes tournaments for instance, I've had decent success in small samples, but it's just not realistic. I have no problem with being a better unknown player at this point in my life. My business allows for more quality time with my kids and family, and that's just way more important than money or notoriety to me personally. If I were younger with no kids it would be an entirely different story. I'm too competitive to not see exactly how good I could be at some of these games.

LA and SD have some good games.
