Few more interesting
hands from my honeymoon run.
Opponent was goofy bad bluffy.

Calling this all day of course against a player that was playing loose and fast. Position is fun.

Raising for value here. He was betting small on a lot of flops from what I noticed, and seemed like he would be prone to big mistakes. When he re-raises, I'm not loving it. Even though the flop is dry and you'd expect most competent players to not re-raise in a spot like this, he was bad enough to re-raise weak Kings, etc... Still though based on his whole range and my read I'm at least seeing another street.

SB bets $10, Hero calls $10
Pretty sure I have the best hand now. Saw him making smaller turn bets with a lot of junk, and I think he's just not sure what he should be doing.

SB bets $28.55 and is all-in, Hero calls $28.55
Pretty good price to pick off his
bluff. It's simply a matter of whether I think he's ~30% of the time or more. He's either got a strong Kx/AA/ set or air at this point. Not many combos of those strong hands, so I look him up.

Don't typically advocate to students to flat these kinds of hands against regs, even in position. However, we're deep and I like taking flops. Your calling range should of course expand when you have position and you're reasonably deep.

I'm not calling just because my OESD. I'm calling to bluff on later streets most of the time. There's going to be a lot of bad turns and rivers and I have position. So if my opponent slows down after I call, I can bet or take a freebie easily.

MP checks, Hero checks
Not a good scare card for me. It's hard for me to rep an ace after flatting the flop really, except minus some bad AdXx combo hands. Not a ton of those in my range really. I'm better off checking and betting if I'm checked to on the river, or possibly raising.

MP bets $11.25, Hero calls $11.25
I hit a straight.
Doesn't really matter of course. My opponents range is so polarized at this point because he's not betting two pair+ like this. It's 50NL so I don't expect him to be value betting this large with Ax representing a flush bluff. He either has a strong flush or doesn't, and him have Ad is diminished since you'd expect him to bet that most of the time on the turn. So does he bet this large with Kd? Probably not... easy call. Just have to hope he's not turning a really small flush into a bluff, which I doubt will be the case often.
