ok, the hand i love to play from the cut off all the way back to UTG is 33, i have had great success with this starting hand, i usually hit and am almost always able to get max value for the hidden set, give me 33 or 44 pre flop anytime over AA or KK. best value and easy to laydown if heat is applied

I really like playng suited J 9, but I play it rather cautiously. I do not raise, but just call and see what the flop reveals. It seems there is almost always something that gives my hand potential. If I get a four card straight, a four card flush, or a pair on the flop I play very aggressively. If the flop doesn't give me strong potential I fold to anything greater than a minimum bet. The hand just seems to work out for me, though I have never called a pre-flop all-in with the hand unless my chip stack is at least four times the all-in. Thanks for sponsoring this contest!

my favourite hand is the 10 8 suited. i first saw Tony G play this hand in the final hand of the bad boys of poker, heads up with matusow when matusow traps with the kings so well, and tony G says "this is my lucky hand" as an excuse for being caught out.

however, i have been playing recently and i cracked a guys aces the other day when he called my PF raise:

my hand: 10s 8s
His hand: AdAc

flop:
9c 7s 3s

at this point i was 54% and it was all in on the flop, and im delighted by the flush on the turn.

moral of the story: i like 10 8 suited and i like busting trappers with aces, and i like competing in forum $5 challenges! :)

GL at the tables everyone

My favorite hand is 67 of hearts. Its easier to fold than a big pair, and you have more outs, than a big pair.

Ummm March 2006 was his join date, lol
This is a new contest.:)

On the joke side KD my favorite it the backhand. I love the sound of the whhhaaaappp when it is upside someones head, lol
And it brings back memories from childhood growing up in the 70's and 80's when it was legal to beat the children.
Good times, good times:D

Already been said earlier, but mine has to be Jd/10d and here's why:

In 3 years or so of online poker, I have never had a Royal Flush. However, I have had 2 straight flushes. The first one was with Jd/10d. The second one was completed with a Jd on the turn (Oddly enough, both of my straight flushes were Q-8d). It's also nice because you can have the nut straight two different ways ( 7 8 9 or Q K A).

Nice competition for you to do Keruoacs, and I say that with as little brown on my nose as possible. :)

For a joke, I do like playing 72o every now and then, but only If I can limp in as the SB or cutoff and there are a lot of limpers behind me. Once every great while I flop something fun like trips, or once, a full house. I caught no end of grief for winning with the full house. I had two people all in and won a nice chunk of change.

Its cool that you're willing to throw in free money to people, and I'm sure after I write this many will tell me what an idiot I am but I think its stupid to have a favorite hand and here's why...
when you get that hand you over-play it just because you have won big with it, well bingo players win big as long as they hit. and the fact you're going to feel compelled to play it, in hands you should never be in and have just thrown money away for the hopes of screwing someone on a longshot.

I sent KD a PM, but I really doubt he'd mine this at all.

I'll be putting up an extra $20 from my account, so there will be 4 more winners. I only have money on pokerstars, though, so if any of the winners would like their prize money sent there I can do that.

Thanks to KD for setting this up and GL everyone.

lol, I read my PM before I read your post, philthy. Thanks so much, again.

OK, guys/girls, this competition now has SIX winners, to be judged, either funny or serious entries, ok???? 6 prizes of $5 each, either at PS or FullTilt, you get to decide, ok.

Philthy, if they want FT money, we can do a transfer, ok?

Mods, can we amend the title of this, to reflect 6 winners, now?

This is the hand that made me win my biggest cash on online ever!!! and it was here in cardschat a few months ago!!!
it's was a $1 buyin with $100 added. i had big stack and my opponent has about 1/3 of what i have. he went allin on SB with an Ax... i called immediately of course. the flop came with 754, the turn came out like hours have past for me.. and it was another rag 8, crossing my fingers, the river came out like it was forever!! i was already thinking i may possibly lose to this hand... prayin and praying.... then out came the K!!! i was the most glorious day of my poker game!!!:D:D:D

and that is my reason why i love this two cards... LOL!!!

well for me it depends on the site as to which hand is my favorite.. My favorite hands are ones that have hit for me consistently, and not based on favorite numbers or "lucky" numbers because that stuff usually means nothing in poker its all in the odds.

Full Tilt
Q(any) doesnt have to be suited just win more times with it
PokerStars
K3 (suited or off) yes i know this is like a really bad hand next highest to next lowest but for some reason i always hit 2 pair or better when playing it..dunno why xD
i do play other sites but don't notice any patterns, but i do know my favorite hands do not carry the same weight from site to site

King/Queen of hearts: because the King and the the Queen are obviously in love and well "suited" for each other, likely to be "straight" with others, and are "flush" with excitement when other suits join them!!

Can't really claim a "favorite" hand since I've had issues with all of them at some point throughout the past, but if I have to pick one, 'KTh' has a special place in my heart. No, it didn't actually win the tournament for me, but it sure saved me from elimination the first night I ever hosted a tourney at my house about 4 years ago. Blinds were 300/600 and I was down to exactly 600, all in on the BB. Two callers come with me as I announce before the flop that there is no way they're winning since my flush is coming. I didn't even have to wait for the river, as a third heart hit the board on the turn. Bam, I'm back to 1800 chips! And the run had begun. I never looked back as, for once, the cards loved me time and time again and I went on to win my first tourney ever. wOOt!!!

My favorite hand is 77, a 7 on the board looks so unassumeing. And, its the hole cards I held when I won my 1st live tournament, caught a 7 on the flop and 7 on the turn.

My favorite is pocket 8s. I'm a bit OCDish (though not OCD!) and I like the symmetry of the number 8. :D After a bad flop with 8s (like A-J-9), I look at the cards from the side so it looks like the infinity symbol [ ∞] and that makes me feel better since nothing beats infinity right? I continue betting like I hit something hoping that everyone folds to me and I've had a decent amount of success - only in live games though!

99 is my favourite, nines never lose, they always hit :) i got 90% of my quads with nines.. i never raise with that hand so ppl never expect a set, that makes me win more. if i set with that hand in a tourney, here i come final table :)

my favourite poker hand is 89 suit. this hand is pretty good because you can get the nut straight 5 to 9 or maybe to hit a flush in the flop, also the odds of winning with this cards vs pockets aces or kings are more than 25% so its a very nice combination were you will have 2 differents ways of hitting a good combination and beating excelent preflop hands.
