Suited one-gappers. For specificity sake, I will go with 68s. Suited connectors are so frequently played that they are easily spotted by others and can be more difficult to get value from better players.
Having that one little gap in there makes the straight much easier to disguise, especially after a preflop raise that makes people think I have high cards.
It's especially nice when the board hits someones wheel draw and I make the higher straight. That always pays off nicely.
High pairs provide reliable payoffs (usually) but I find it much more satisfying to crack "better" starting hands with a well-disguised value-play.

Wheel in Omaha Hi Lo
My favorite hand is playing the Wheel in Omaha Hi Lo.
With that hand, I know I will get part of, or at least half of the pot, get quartered, or scoop the pot,And, it gives me some excitement to wonder if I will get quartered and actually lose money (while winning the hand) ha.
Which has happened to me many times, since Omaha Hi Lo is my favorite game, and I play it for hours each day.
And, when every one shows their hand, I quickly look at each hand to see if I had to split the pot, got quartered or scooped the pot.

I've always had a soft spot for KT Hearts.
There are so many good ways to play it preflop.
You can std raise, min raise or even limp depending on the situation.
If it hits you can win BIG, if not, its an easy fold,
cause it never was that great a hand anyway.
Hearts is best because alot of people seem to overbet
when there are 2 high Hearts on the board, I dunno why.

I actually have a favorite for now, lol won't last long. I call it my lucky hand because it won me an all-in live. J,5 off suit..
The story goes... I have a little over 4000 in chips, in the SB and have A,10 off suit... one limper out on the table with everyone else folding. Blinds are 100/200 I raise 3X BB, BB calls and limper actually folds. Flop comes A,9,4 Rainbow, I overbet the pot with 2k, BB pushes the rest of his stack in, I am commited thinking he has A,9..My surprise he has A,8 and boy I am in good shape until the 8 comes the river. Now only with 300 left in chips I have.. On the button with 5,J... raise from UTG with 2 callers.. I said what the heck and called... they all checked it down to eliminate me but I ended up winning with QQ's and 55's... Everyone who was in that hand had overcards to mine and were interacting with each others hands.
I thought woot, the good just happened even though I lost, the luck just happened, have to love J,5 and the bad happens right after that hand. LOL that is another story in itself.

well my favorite hand would have to be 2 2. it has significance to me because i began playing poker when i was 22 and it just stuck from there. I wasnt so good at first so i used to abuse poker pairs and the ducks usually brought me the most money. Even all my friends know that i treat pockets twos just like aces and they bring me trips 85 % of the time and i dont care about stasitcs but it juust brings me luck. Noone usually cares about the mesley 2 on the board when they have top pair even though it gives me trips. It is well disguised and it will always remaim my favorite

I think he meant you can't make a straight without at least either the 5 or 10.
Of course, 5-10 itself sucks for making straights since it doesn't stretch.

Such a beautiful, Hand... it has let me down a few times, but when she smiles at me, we make the table feel the pain...
There are times, I have moved all in pre-flop with this hand... and had to fight AKs... but when the Q comes on the flop, it's like the poker gods are smiling down on me...
I have caught... FLUSHES, STRAIGHTS, and even 3-of-a-kind, with this hand... she is a fighter, but don't make her mad.... or she will make you loose a lot of chips....

Really really sorry that I havent had time to sort this competition out, something came up in my private life last sunday(when i hoped to sort out the prizes for this) and it took me away from the computer all week. Still trying to sort it out, big time.
