I have been playing Card and Board games all my life, I could set up a chess board by the time I could walk, Wooden jigsaws were so easy I did them face down since I was 5 years old.
Playing Blackjack before I went to school, so that I could count and add up before the other kids, and when I was almost old enough to enter Pubs legally I could play most Pub games involving Cards and Dominoes.
Poker was just a natural progression, the only thing was I didn't like to gamble, I did, I will admit it, I just didn't enjoy losing money, so given the chance to play on-line for free was a blessing for me.
Playing games as kids, there is only one thing you aimed for and that was the Win! No money involved, just the feeling of success when you were the best on the day, Something you could brag and boast about for the rest of the day,
Poker is no different, and playing for free gives you a great feeling when you finish in 1st place, regardless that no money is involved, you can play on Facebook
Apps, and other game sites for points as prize's, and they are a great way to take baby steps in the game,
You only have to remember that when money becomes a factor the game suddenly changes, it becomes more serious, and you have to change your playing style and skills to advance in the game, but the only way to learn, is to play and lose, so that you learn from your mistakes.
