I have been struggling with schizophrenia since 2004 and found poker that has taught me to fight again! I've been working for 4 years now, but I don't have so much money to lose $ 100! Good luck with the game but there is another joy to life. Think about it!

I love card games in general. MTG, Hearthstone, LoR, Eternal etc. but with Poker, I like that a) everyone is on "equal footing" so-to-speak., The challenge of correct decision making and the innate monetary risk associated with it. It's also a really fun social game live and when I'm out "gambling" with my friends, it's a game that I can feel confident enough to sit down at a table and not blow all the money I set aside for "gambling" in a matter of minutes, often being one I actually profit from and feel good overall about my time spent in the casinos. Online I like the strategy, complexity, and nuances of the game that I used to overlook when I thought I was any good at the game.

I play poker for fun and mental exercise. Nothing is better than reading opponents hand perfectly and value betting it for maximum gain. At the moment I'm playing micro stakes but hopefully I'll be confident enough to move up the stakes soon.

I first started playing poker after seeing it played on T.V. and thought that it was an easy game to learn. How wrong I was I played on Facebook for fun and could not understand why I kept losing.
So went back to watching it more and the first thing I noticed was the Pro's never call to see every flop, So I made myself a little rhyme that went "If you don't have to pay, You don't have to Play,"
I kept saying it to myself that if I hadn't paid a blind there was nothing forcing me to play that hand and started folding more rubbish.
Being more selective in the hands I played, started to get me further into the game and I started to win occasionally.
Now I can hold my own in a poker game and even though I sometimes lose it does not stop me playing.
The game is fun and as someone said earlier it is the best game on the Planet.
