Here is two good picks on tennis from facebook.com/bettingresource

ATP Los Cabos: Santillan +1.5 Sets (2.60) vs Berdych
WTA: Stanford: Day +1.5 Sets (2.35) vs Muguruza

In the berdych/santillan match we will back the young and promising youngster Santillan who plays an aggressive all round game. He has looked terrific in the three matches (2 qualies and the 1st round) in Las Cabos so far and he is yet to drop a set. Now in round 2 he will face a big name in Berdych who arrived in Los Cabos just 36 hours ago after very long delayed trip from Europe--the airline also misplaced his luggage. Berdych has not played since Wimbledon and without any tune on hardcourt he will simply have to rely on his experience to overcome the youngster. Considering the long trip, jet lag and lack of tune up games there is a good chance Berdych will drop at least a set here. Santillan to win first and as well as the match at these big odds also holds good value.
In the Muruguza/Days match we have similar situation as the Bedrych match where Muguruza is coming to Stanford after flying high and winning the trophy in Wimbledon. She has been busy celebrating and attending many sponsorship/media events and this match could be a let down since she will face a very promising youngster Day who has already played a nice 1st round match in these courts. Earlier in the year, Day took a set against Muruguza at Indian Wells and this time she will most likely do it again and might win the match as well. So if you are adventurous you can try the moneyline on top of the +1.5 sets.
Very good picks. Both lost [emoji6]
I do sports betting as often as possible, mostly picking an outsider with good potential in football and tennis, so called "value betting" )

To bet on sports, you need to understand very well the specific sport and follow behind-the-scenes news. I can afford to put money only when playing our country's national football, which would be fun to watch with friends over a glass of beer))))

I never bet on sports, probably one of the safest options is Tennis, but the prize is normally too low, I don't see how it can be lucrative in long term...

Tennis is certainly one of the highest-volume sports - you can bet on it pretty much around the clock every single day.

I'm not sure how you figure it's one of the "safest" options though, unless you're on the right side of the fixed matches?

There is a big difference between poker and sports betting. In poker, if you are the better player at the table you end up making money in the long run. In sports betting, statistics are working against you, and you are a guaranteed loser in the long run.

Both poker and online betting are very risky ways of earning money. The best option is to combine these methods of obtaining money. With downswing in poker, online bets can be a lifeline for you to keep at a lower limit in poker and give you the opportunity to participate in even more shares that poker rooms offer in your bookmakers.

Another one from facebook.com/bettingresource

Arizona -1.5 (2.20) against San Francisco [Walker & Stratton]
Even though this is a public favorite, the value is too good to pass. San Francisco will start a rookie pitcher who has been knocked around in both MLB and minors. He will barely have any breathing room today since Arizona is stacking the top order of their batting line up with all their top players without resting any. Opening sequence of Peralta, Pollock, Lamb, Goldschimidt and JDMartinez is a pretty deadly order to handle even for the top pitchers in the league. San Francisco on the other hand will miss their top 2 offensive players Brandon Belt and Buster Posey. Replacing Belt and and his 18 HRs is Pablo Sandoval, a player who barely played any baseball in the last two years. We are using this pick for our clients as well and is a must bet game due to the value in the odds and the situation. But be sure to stick to the money management (you can read it in our website) regardless because in sports betting anything can happen on any given game--but playing value odds with money management will put you ahead in the long run.

I have been trying poker on few sites, mostly 1/2 NL, and i notices that big sites like poker stars are hard even when you play good. The games are much easier in sportsbook rooms but these rooms don't have many games. Sometimes even 1 table is not full.

I think the difference is no bet or poker, the main thing is to have fun and profit.

0 from 3, oops :p

Out of interest, you / this site you're promoting keep talking about money management... which I agree is very important in sports betting.

But the "conditional compounding" method the site suggests, where your bet size effectively gets bigger relative to your bankroll size when you go on a losing streak, is a new one to me. Is that the kind of "money management" you're advocating?

Poker vs sports?

I would say poker you get to decide pretty much the outcome of what happens. It's solely responsible on you for how you player cars and how you play the player. Now sportsbetting you have to make your bet based on past information but anything can happen.

At its core though, isn't that exactly what poker is too? Using the information you have at the time, including past results etc., to make decisions about events with an uncertain outcome?

All of them are pretty much forms of gambling, coupled with horse racing, fx and stock exchange trading, etc. I would call them investments with high reward/ high risk. If u are ready to take those risks and afford possible losses, go for it [emoji111] and best of luck [emoji5]

Are you going to be betting on the Mayweather/McGregor fight?

No, I am not. It will be another circus show.
Everybody knows that this is not a real fight.
The winner was chosen long ago.
I am going to bet $10 on the Mayweather just for fun.

Sometimes I bet when good odds are and there is confidence in the outcome. In comparison with poker, sports betting has its advantages (it's a quick win / loss) and disadvantages (the outcome does not depend on you). Poker + betting = fun and sometimes profitable.

No. Not this way. In poker there is not enough information, but you get it directly when evaluating opponents and the board. When you make a bet, the information can be obsolete, distorted, untruthful.

Couple of times bet on tennis, R.Garros tournament, and loose all bets. I feel myself so sad in that day. But is not addictive for me. Just loose and forgotten.
