I wouldn’t lend for poker man just seems like a slippery slope. If a friend was in need and like needed food sure I’d do that but wouldn’t expect anything in return.

I always lend money to other players when they need it, I am very attentive when they call me for that purpose, or send me messages, I like to help, but in many cases after receiving the money, they forget that it was just a loan
I think of helping, but I have many friends who ask me for help. I am sure that those I helped will return my money. I often say that it is a chain. If I break a link in that chain the flow will stop. Many tell me that money should not be lent when it will be used in games
Once, I had friends at my house and we started playing poker, so one of them was out of money at the time but would like to participate so I borrowed it.
That friend ended up winning from everyone, including me. After that day I learned a lesson. We shouldn't put another opponent on the table when he will play with our own money

with these priorities

-he came back quickly
- It took a long time to return
-I forgot it and didn't come back

After these notes follow these

- Can I loan it again, amounts up to 30us
- lend smaller amounts up to 5us
- lending to this player is not allowed

The notes are green, blue and red

Maybe I'm crazy, but it's a form of protection.

i don't have the balls to ask anybody to lend me money to play with...if ur broke build it up through freerolls, then you get to keep all of your friends

i have one football ball red one )) you can't win much with freerolls freerolls are for losers playing many hours wasting time and there are many bots playing in freerolls which is almost impossible to win , I have won couple of times with freerolls but it's not worth wasting so much time

I also have friends who play poker and I know them personally, I sometimes help them send money and when they raise their bankroll they return my debt and they help me too when I need to raise a bankroll it's a good way to help friends for the game in poker, and I would like to have more friends in the game
so that they helped me and I helped them!

Sponsorship is more better than debt if you take debt you must return it this is unwritten law and sponsorship is quite good strategy

Are they winning players? You should ask for a percentage as you're essentially staking them.

If it's just a loan, charge a percentage. If they don't pay back plus interest, never lend again.

Dont do that. I did it couple of times back in days, but not much players return money. Friends and gambling doesnt goes well. If you have spare money gamble, if not dont. Simple rule

Look, I think I really like your thinking because it opens up to my Christian philosophy and I love giving without asking for anything in return.
But in poker this situation I think is not going friend.
As a friend says above, I think you should learn to say no, since you have it quite easy.
Look, I help a lot of people, even the homeless drunk on the street needs help even if it's just to drink a bottle of wine that makes him happy.
But people who borrow from you, to play poker??? It seems to me that there is the error.

this is correct if you take you must give back , because nothing is worth your integrity and dignity , if you take money scam people you will have no peace in you that's for sure and one day you will decide to finish with all that and finishing that means killing oneself which is not the option...

I feel a little bit that you should only play with what you got.
Of course, if you are in the casino for example and they just don't have enough cash with them but for example they send you via transfer quickly, it's fine.
Or in a home game, I know they didn't bring enough cash but then they can still do the same, in Revolut or Wise it takes 5 seconds.
Or, if they really went bankrupt and need money to build something up again or win some loss back, then I would say no. You should only play with what you have and what you can afford.
So, I don't say I wouldn't do it ever, but it depends on the Why.
