Most of the time I follow my intuition I end up ****ing hahahaha.
I prefer to follow a technical line of the game, of knowing what to risk in this inner voice.

Sometimes you feel that you have to play. But you believe in your eyes. And you fold. And the flop falls nuts. :)

My 'intuition' is based on observing and putting together past actions of a players comparing them with current ones as well as taking into account how they interact with me and others individually. I am very accurate.

This have nothing to do with intuition. Is only coincidence. ;) But very unpleasant. How many full-houses I've missed after folding J4 or something like that... :D

If you played well enough, you could bluff your way to profit during these bad variance sessions.

I agree, it's more like luck. But it's a shame. :)

I use intuition more with trying to predict people than with trying to suss out what's going to happen with a hand I'm drawing to or whatever. In online games even with time bank there's just not enough time to consciously think on what I think someone's going to do and why, so my subconscious handles it a lot of the time.

My success in this regard is in direct proportion to how much data I've actually gotten on how someone plays.

A lot of luck involved in poker but there are times when you know you are beat and just give up the hand. that's when you have to stay strong and come back later on.

If I'm playing with poeple that I know, I would trust my intuition a lot, because I know their playstyles and most of the times I make the right choice when I trust my intuition. If I don't know the other players, I would use my poker knowledge and maths only.

I play poker and use my intuition, but very rarely, because you need to pay attention to other factors when playing poker, which are more important.

I have this but with bad hands. I'm going to fold and something tells me to call, but I say nah this is a bad hand like 48os. So I fold, flop comes 4A8, so I'm thinking yeah would have had 2 pair but it would have been beat. Turn comes a Q, so I'm like see, AQ would have took me out. River comes a 4, now I'm like damn full house should have called. Only happens on crap hands, good hands I get nothing lol.

But in the long run you lose thinking like that! That's like going to the casino and saying I got a funny feeling zero will come up next spin or the next few spins! Or even a horse race or a collect score on the football! I think we all have them feeling!

My intuition is a bloody calling station. :banghead:

Atm it's got a dunce cap, is sitting in a corner and learning odds & probabilities very diligently. After it's done, I'll give him another chance.

I think intuition is very important in poker, at certain times it can help us make a difficult decision.

Every time I play I feel intuition gets stronger!!! I never used to listen to the little man inside (he used to be an idiot) when it came to poker. The more hands you play though you definitely develop a higher sense of card smarts. I am finally friends with the the little man now..haha

Whilst you may think you are listening to your intuition when deciding to play a hand or not, you are simply taking a chance based on superstition. The results of your choice to play a hand, like every other poker hand is based on pure chance and completely random (as long as you are playing in an honest game of poker).

When one gets lucky by listening to his/her "intuition", then the positive results are attributed to self by thinking that "I have good intuition and that is why I won." But when the results are a loss, then one tends to attribute the negative results to external sources such as bad luck.

There is no intuition. The choices we make in our lives are much more complicated than that. Factors such as what you ate that day, what kind of a day you had at work, if you got laid last night etc all play a hand in all our daily choices. Most human beings attribute success to internal skills and ability (intuition) and failure to external forces.

What you are explaining is not intuition. You are simply gaining experience. Just like when you start a new job, you will not be as efficient at first and will inevitably make a lot of mistakes at first but as time passes you will learn from your mistakes and prevent yourself from repeating those mistakes. But even as you gain experience, you will still make mistakes, but just not as often as you used to.

It's just your past experiences coming back to you as a form of intuition. You had an experience that a naked pair is not good in this spot. That's my idea

The longer I play, the less I trust intuition. I've made a lot of mistakes thinking that my "feeling" is better than my skill, lol.
