Loved that post. I'd also like to add that low intelligence or a learning handicap are also insurmountable obstacles for someone trying to become good, let alone 'a winning player'.You may not be born to play poker but perhaps you have been born not to play poker. If you don't have a competitive spirit, a gambling drive and analytical mind then no amount of learning or training will make you a good poker player.
Hello!:ciao:
I think people with an analytical mindset are more successful at poker. In my opinion - there are people who are able to very easily understand the mathematics of this game as 2×2. At the same time, I also believe that a person's temperament is an important factor. I think this also plays a role.
I've been thinking recently about the large number of players that have emerged in recent years, and how good they are. I know this is because of the great boom of online poker, the quick lit information, anyway, things we all know, however, I was curious if you guys believe that there are people who are born with this supernatural talent.
I believe not, that learning comes with many years of study, but some say that in addition to the study, there are people who really seem to have been born for poker.
What's your opinion?

Yes, I can agree with you. Your reasoning is very logical and complements my comment well.:icon_thumHello to you to!
I can agree with that. I also think that people who are able very easily to understand the mathematics of this game have an adventage in poker over others.
But I will stick to what I wrote. I did not write, that to be a GOOD poker player takes the same what it takes to be a GOOD chess player, in whatever sense. Those are 2 different games. The tactics you use in poker cannot be applied in chess, so I am not comparing chess to poker in that sense. That was not the point.
I think that in order to be THE BEST poker player IN THE WORLD you need to have an extraordinary ability od discipline, concetration and mental strength. Same what Kasparov needed to have to became THE BEST chess player IN THE WORLD. Don't you agree with that?
Maybe but nothing is free,I think its more about practice makes perfect so the more you do something the better you get at it or anything. And then there's the luck part that comes and messes it all up..lol. Luck is the crazy part because usually its not given, its earned (Jordan don't make 30 outta 30..3 pointers because hes lucky, he practiced) but in poker it kinda applys. Good luck.
