Do you eat before playing poker?

I don't know about you but, I can't eat before or while I'm playing it makes me uncomfortable.
from what I've read it's a bad idea not to. Thoughts?

Apparently this issue is individual and depends on the physiological characteristics of the organism. On the contrary, I can't play when I'm hungry. If I am hungry I become impatient and it leads to bad results.

Playing at the casino live I see people eating and playing which is just gross since there are 8 people at the table and we are touching the same cards. It amazes me that they can't just sit out and take a break.

I just had a big bowl of lettuce quinnoa cellery onion & spring onion and cuecumber tunna salad along with 2 slices of dark rye rustical bread.

Am playing my MTTs and enjoying no problems at all

No everyone just has their own things that helps them play poker.. but
question, you never eat during a game lets say one goes on for 8+ hours you dont consume anything?

NO food at all I drink to hydrate but I've played many tourneys I just don't feel hungry til its over!

I always believe that eating food promotes relaxation. When you eat, you want to rest a little. And this contributes to a decrease in concentration.

I used to do that when I first started playing live tourns sitting for hours at a time without food or something to drink. It was a mistake that I didn't recognize.

Online I just wouldn't get this, but I can see this for someone that's new and playing a live tourn and just wants to stay in their chair. That's not the best way to go.

Especially if you have mood swings like the folks on the Snickers commercials that gets grumpy if you haven't eaten in awhile. Not eating after awhile will mess up your game so I would experiment with the type and quantity find what works.

I always tell folks to get up and stretch, get something to eat and drink a little, not too much though.

And that decision would be personal, perhaps some players cannot play a few minutes before sitting down to play because it would give them bad indigestion from the food, others perhaps while they play, personally it does not affect me and sometimes you get hungry when you have been playing for hours and you have to eat something because it can give you fatigue and you will not make good decisions while playing.

I can't play poker when I'm hungry, so I eat with my meals, and of course I drink water, tea, coffee all the time! They say that the brain does not work well on an empty stomach))) Good luck at the tables!

Eating makes us tired, specially when you eat a lot. so having somthing to munch on like chips etc is much better imo

On the contrary, if I feel that I want to eat, I run for food. And that doesn't bother me at all. I think it also saves time on food.
