Yeah, I get something similar when I try to listen to EPL games through BBC or watch a show posted on their website.

I can't say that I'm a big Annie Duke fan, but I do respect her strong-will and her desire to win. I haven't been following Celebrity Apprentice but based on what I see/hear, the way Annie is performing is very much characteristic of the way she approaches her poker game - at least based on how she portrays herself in her book.

I cant stand it.

Aside from calling our dear Annie a Hitler last episode, Joan now says tonite: "You're a poker player, and that is worse than white trash."

Can't stand Joan/Melissa Rivers, now even more so with that comment - hope they get the ax soon. So US poker players, we're trash too? At least trash gets picked up!!

That kinda bites. Had no idea. Well, you're not missing all that much, but worth a watch. Annie didn't really say much at all. She didn't have to. It was all about Joan & Melissa that made asses of themselves, attacking the last 2 standing, Annie and the blonde (former Playboy playmate of the year) in their group. Maybe it'll turn up elsewhere like youtube, who knows.

OK the episode is not around yet, but here is what happened and was said, from Annie's blog today:

"....Now, as for Joan’s comments about poker players…well…what I said on the show is true. Poker players are the most wonderful people you will ever meet. Poker players are thoughtful and generous and are good for their word. I think it is so interesting that the group that has come out the most strongly in support of the show and in support of these charities, poker players, are so vilely disparaged by Joan on the show. But it was clear Joan doesn’t care much about that when she said, “Oh stop with all this charity nonsense.” Joan can attack me all she wants. She can attack my morals. She can call me a Nazi and compare me to Hitler. I signed up for that when I agreed to do the show. I was there to defend myself. But to use such a broad brush to insult a whole group of people who did not sign up for that kind of abuse, implying they are criminals, saying outright that they give blood money and are worse than white trash. Well now I am angry. To insult me is one thing. I can take it. To insult my friends who have been nothing but generous and selfless in their support of charity. That is a whole other thing and that is where you can get a rise out of me.
Joan saying that all poker players have no last names and are worse than white trash is like me saying that all comedians are miserable, depressed people who take their angst, anger and unhappiness out on everyone around them. Clearly, that would be unfair."

I don't watch it much either, but familiar with the show. This to me, calling all poker pokers 'trailer trash' is no different than calling blacks 'trash'. Imagine if she'd said the same thing about Phil Ivey has he participated. But it's actually worse with the 'Nazi' accusation. I only hope the rest of the country sees her for what she is.

I finally got to sit down and watch the whole thing. And um, wow. Those broads are crazy (Joan and Melissa that is). It's funny that they called Annie and Brande(y?) whore vipers, when I think that term would be more appropriate for themselves. Honestly, their behavior was unbelievable, but no one will ever be able to convince them that they were in the wrong...too full of themselves.

^^^ Well, those crazy broads have ruined their careers. This clash is historic -- Joan will be forever tied to Annie-bashing, and losing at it. Melissa, who cares? And Annie comes across as the Queen of poker, our strongest promoter and defender ever. Historic moments, truly.

Never watched the show but judging from that clip Annie comes of mature individual where as that Joane comes of as 80year old pice of melted plastic with no brain functions.

I was so mad I even sent emails to QVC asking they stop promoting her products. Also sent an email to her "official website" telling them she was an idiot for dissing millions of poker players and she came off as an old bitter hag. I sent another couple emails to sites that promote her just cant remember which ones now.

I know its a waste of time..but I figure if a lot of other people did the same this old coot could be finished.
