Being so early in the tournament, depending on the entry fee... Id consider folding here. Most times not but if Im playing in wsop ME Id wait for a better spot than shipping, especially 3 handed

I would quickly call KK, pre flop even if I knew they AA, know I could get lucky and beat them. All I will say I have had AA enough times where KK, or QQ or even low pockets have eliminated me from tournaments. If you are in a cold seat you are not going to make it far in tournaments without luck.

Thank you for posting.

I would like to help you with your format of this question as it was slightly confusing to me.

Blinds are 15/30 in a tournament or cash game? Online? Live?

Hero is in the HJ and limps for 30? KK

SB raises to 120

BB calls 120

Hero 3 bets to 480 total or 480 more thus 510 of hero's stack in the pot?

SB 4 bets to 2520

BB calls 2520? or less? Are you getting 3-1 on your call?

Pot is 5500? 1520 for you to call. 3.5 -1 pot odds.

My answer:

So the question is what range of hands would SB make this play with.

We know for sure all players will do this with AA KK: Some with AK.

Would this villain play QQ JJ AQ this way? What about 1010 99 88 or 98 suited?

Does this villain expect to get called or expecting to get folds?

Have you been taking notes on this villain?
Is villain TAG NIT LAG-Loose wild?

How have you been playing? Are you loose wild? What hands do you think this villain puts you on when you limp 3 bet? Does this villain put you on hands?

Is this an isolation attempt by SB to knock out BB and get it heads up with You who SB perceives as playing too wide a range. IE you limp 3 bet 99 88?

Hope this help

:):)

That's how you should see the game of poker

I think not

Preflop probably not, postflop in some situations, yes
In poker VC has to take a chance and KK is an ideal for taking risks

At those blinds it's early in the game and if you're feeling like you want to be a little risky i'd go for it. I'd call it and register for the next tourney if I lost. lol

There was one time I folded KK vs. some guy with a 4% PFR who went into a rearise war with me. The KK blocks most of his all in bluffing range lol. Unfortunately he flipped over AK and the other guy flipped over JJ

I swear I'm not a nit, he certainly was though

that is adifficult decision ,one may be have AA ,but I would not fold ,because AA will be played mostly slow ,so I think they have AK ,AQ or QQ or JJ ,so you have a little more then 50% to win and when you win your stack is 3 x so high

I dont like such player they rise with all hands and when you call they set you all in ,the only way is I think if you have a good hand like AK AQ or a pair more then 10 10 to go all in ,they mostly call you and you have the better hand

thi is what i would do here

NLH 15/30. Dealt to Hero: KK. SB raised to 120. Hero 3bet 480 on HJ(REM. Stack: 2030). SB 4bet 2520. BB calls. Action back to you. WHAT IS YOUR PLAY?

i think in this spot i could see u folding or calling in my option but it on a few key things like how often is he raising in the small blind or how many hands he is playing is he calling or play a lot of hand or he playing tight and folding and only calling with prem hands (this means u see the hand after a river bet or check). if he playing lots of hands and his bpip is high i def call or shove on him in this spot bc he is playing a wide range of hands and def be 4 betting with a wide range of hands
Now if he playing tight and u know he only play prem had like qq aa ak etc etc i can see u folding here bc he def could be 4 betting u with aces and ur dead to a straight if ur lucky or u can hit ur k but that being said ur going to lose a lot of the time in this spot if he has aa

Options

Calling is not an option to me because I feel like if an all-in doesn't happen pre-flop right now....it'll happen post-flop and I don't like following an all-in...….So to me it would be either an all-in or a fold. That being said, I hate the smell of (AA) if it's not mine. So...…..What's every bodies stack size? if they all had smaller stack sizes than me and it was early in the tournament.....I would have gone all-in at that very moment. If even one player had a bigger stack size and the Re-Reg option is closed or we're close to the bubble or even toward the end of the tournament?......fold. Hey being a good poker player is knowing when to fold too. That's why there's such a thing as a good fold(GF) hope this helps. :D

If you fold your calling range only consists of AA, which isn't great. Without a read, I would be happy shoving or calling and doing a dance that I'm about to win a big pot.

Why I play poker.

When I played real money (I accidentally excluded myself from all poker sites for 5 years. I got 4 more to go) I played it for the adrenaline. I played it for the money too. Not to get rich but to turn my extra money into disposable income. Extra money and disposable income are two different things. For now I play with play chips but I play it for the diversity of the poker community. The poker community are some of the most enjoyable people on the planet. I play it for sentimental reasons. My introduction to poker was by my father who passed from diabetes back in 1999. He taught me 5 card stud but I prefer Texas Hold'em. I've played online at home. I've played in a rough neighborhood with strangers. I've played in professional tournaments at casinos. I've played cash games at casinos. Every experience was enjoyable whether money lost or won. I play it for the luck/skill factor. When luck takes a seat and let skill take over or when skill takes a seat and let's luck take over. I do play poker for the prospect at being rich sure. The same prospect when you buy a lottery ticket. I just play it cause I love it unconditionally.

will i look as a rookie player if i said that any cards can beat a KK just because its some luck for the day??! (ok, im not mad cuz it happened to me). ok the question is if you fold, i usually don't and tend to go raising more than 3BB before flop if there is 3 or more players playing, if less i go all in, it always work for me this way to double my stack fast.

Folding KK is a tough call preflop...even to an all-in in front of you. I used to complain to my son that I always lose with pocket Kings...he told me to write down each time I get them. I kept track for a year. I won 70% of the time, BUT I lost money because I often just took the blinds, but when I lost, I lost BIG.

It´s very difficult to fold it. However, it´s sure that another player has an A, it´s not good the situation.
Anyway, it´s very difficult to fold it.

Easily. I play by feel and sometimes it dosent feel right. So many players will play any ace and as usual an ace hits on the flop when you have KK. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.

Not giving fold with KK today gives all in directly even if I lose or not I always give all in.
