BB normally means big bets, or 2x the big blinds, from the days when limit poker was the standard game. bb is used to refer to big blinds.
The other reference is ptbb, or PokerTracker bbs, which also means big bets.

Personally, I think "big bets" is a measurement that shouldn't be used for no-limit at all. Express win-rates for limit games in Big Bets, sure, but for no-limit, just count the blinds.
But yes, 5 big blinds/100 is a good win-rate but I wouldn't call it "killing" or "crushing."

Depending on how low the stakes, even 5BB/100 or 10bb/100 isn't crushing it. It's good, certainly, but last fall and winter I was running slightly better than that rate playing $25nl FR and I didn't feel I was crushing it. Looking back at my stats I can see some leaks so I know I could have done better, and I'm sure one could do even better at $10nl than at $25 and so on.

I've recently become a low stakes, 6-max grinder. Did 25k hands at 2NL and now moved up to 5NL. Play 4 tables on FTP
Finished exams on Monday so spent the last couple of days getting in some hands. Today's session was very weird, took a bit of a toll on my but it's always nice coming back from the red.
(Played 2,300 hands, went from $18 up this morning, down to -$26 at lowest point, and back up to finish $8 up at 3.3BB/100 plus $5 of rakeback)
