Everyone's doing their homework, right? It's been two weeks since that post, so y'all should have a couple of dozen hands marked and analyzed by now, I assume.

I have no clue what to do atm, I can't win a hand! Dropped from $50nl to £20/$32nl to now $20 in like 2 months and it's just depressing!

Poker is becoming a chour rather than a fun job! wtf shall I do!

I've been doing this, and it's been fairly productive.

I think I'm finding that I'm frequently not betting the river big enough - I keep betting smaller on the river in case villain shoves, but I'm pretty sure that I'm reacting to a relatively small part of his range, rather than to the majority of his range, and I think frequently he'll call a larger bet w that large part of his range.

I'm also getting stuck on turn betsizing, I think I'm letting draws off the hook by betting too small, but not sure yet, still experimenting.

Without specific situations, I realize this is extremely vague, but if anyone has any reactions, I'm interested.

I'm not even close to crushing. Still down a buy-in. Would have finally been even with a slight profit from rakeback tho I keep running into tough spots with overpairs. Today was like first time I finally found a couple decent tables. So many of the tables are like nitfest rakeback grinders.

I don't think there are any rakeback grinders at 10NL, lol. 4 tabling Rush at 25NL I make $5/hour on rakeback.

I don't check there.

Ax with FD being played badly or 66-99 that got scared but can't fold an overpair, or JJ+ that's going for a pointless c/r.
I actually think JJ/QQ are unlikely because I expect them to 3bet the flop often, and I also expect to see AK/AQ (without FD) occasionally here.

I shove.

Should have made it 25k and got yourself in the prop bet!

Good to see you grinding out some hands though man, GL!

I dont mind not 3bet bluffing at 4NL but you have to start 3bet bluffing people at 10NL IMO!

Yeah...I'm all about the grind. Just ask Angleina Jolie- she'd know.

I assume there will be other prop bets on this forum about playing X number of hands so I will probably get in on it then. Feb was my first month of 10k+ volume so I need to see how I do in March. If I reach my 20K target, I'll make up a poem about the experience and post it here so you can get a buzz from my elegant lyrical stylings. In fact screw it, I'll go and write one now.

Tell me about this quare thing called 3 bet bluffing. I do it now and then at 6 max but I am big into the full ring as of late so I need to consider the adjustments.

When I do 3 bet bluff at 6 max, I do it if some of the following circumstances apply:
- if i have recently won an big pot with a big pair and I feel people are a little wary
- if someone is raising a bit too often (and showing down rubbish)
- if someone has an identifiable patter of raising from the button
- if its a suited connector that could flop a monster/monster draw.

I would be somewhat more wary at full ring but I'll take a few stabs to see how it works out this month.

Ok.....here it is...seriiously high-brow artistic stuff by ireland's official Microstakes Bard:

With coffee poured out and the players arrayed,
in the chill of the evening a game is being played,
where all of your moves are measured and weighed,
and a check on the flop is to set up a raid.

Cards fall and stacks rise, you miss then you hit,
On turn you are God- on the river you're shit,
but the graph keep rising-every day just a bit,
'cause thats how it goes when you play like a nit.

And when it's all over, we all meet online,
to butress our skills or to halt a decline,
or to sharpen our weapons- the bluff and set-mine-
for those who have cards but no plan or design

The the night falls again and the battle for stacks
grinds on into dawn through retreat and attack.
In the heat of 9 tables you can't turn your back:
there are fish to be fried and Aces to crack.

Here's a hand I thought I was ahead

either you think that villain is normal or loose and you should 4bet preflop, or you think he's a super nit and then you should check the flop. Flatting preflop and donking a Axx flop makes no sense whatsoever.

Obviously once you both have a set, playing for stacks is standard.

I'm here to learn, I just couldn't get away from the mentality of OMG I got a set of Ks.

You didn't read or understand my comment, and you're incredibly results oriented. You shouldn't get away from that "OMG I got a set" mentality. Your turn play is fine. The problem with your play is both preflop and on the flop.

I did read your comments and did understand your comments and I did realize my mistakes pre flop and flop.

I'm trying to think of a reason to ever donk an Ace high flop holding KK and for the life of me I can't come up with one.

What if villain plays any pair, but never Ax because AK is a drawing hand, and he doesn't have a fold button postflop?

I don't know such a villain but if I did I'd donk/donk/shove.
