Today I just 2 tabled, as I was studying and writing a program in the meantime. However, the session went very well. :)
original.png

What do you think of the way I played this hand?

Pacific, $0.02/$0.05 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 4 Players
SB: $9.14 (182.8 bb)
BB: $5.78 (115.6 bb)
Hero (CO): $6.93 (138.6 bb)
BTN: $5.10 (102 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with A K
Hero raises to $0.17, 2 folds, BB calls $0.12

Flop: ($0.36) 4 A 4 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.18, BB calls $0.18

Turn: ($0.72) 5 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.36, BB calls $0.36

River: ($1.44) 6 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks

Results: $1.44 pot ($0.07 rake)
Final Board: 4 A 4 5 6
BB showed T A and lost (-$0.71 net)
Hero showed A K and won $1.37 ($0.66 net)

I like your sizing OTF, but OTT I probably bet slightly larger. River is thin, but I may go in for a small bet if I had a good sense of the player and what he's likely to have. As played I think we can bet river, but if we raise larger on the turn it does probably narrow range more, and then in that case with bigger turn bet I prob check back river, unless I really feel dude has Ax.

So actually I like the line a turn bet sizing the more I think of it, but because we may be able to get 3 streets from some PPs and Ax hands.

So yeah maybe small bet on river. Your bet sizing may have under repped hand a little maybe.

Just some thoughts. I like the way you played the hand.

I like following stuff like this. I just became profitable recently and it feels so good. Might document my progress on here, might be nice. I don't play very regularly though

In the AK hand i think the river is a clear value bet not thin at'all. The sizing is the question and i probably like 1/2p again somewhere around .80 to .90.You should exclude the results from the hand history though.

decided to go for a quick session tonight

I have been busy with a project at school, but tonight I decided to play a little session. The session went quite well, considering I ran like an absolute God. In 1h 15min of play I had 6x AA, 11x AK, and 9x KK, hahaha. Although, I did not manage to get too much action out of my opponents, when I had the premiums, I did play some interesting hands.

Here's the graph:

original.png

Here's an interesting hand. What do you think of this? A standard? Or would have you played it differently?

Pacific, $0.02/$0.05 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players

BB: $11.30 (226 bb)
UTG: $7.09 (141.8 bb)
MP: $5 (100 bb)
CO: $5 (100 bb)
BTN: $5 (100 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A A
3 folds, BTN calls $0.05, Hero raises to $0.20, BB calls $0.15, BTN calls $0.15

Flop: ($0.60) 4 Q 5 (3 players)
Hero bets $0.40, BB raises to $1, BTN folds, Hero calls $0.60

It does seem like villain is milking you in the hand.If villain was oop i could consider a wider range blocker betting maybe, but they can just check those hands back ip.Does KQ or AQ bet here i'm not sure they do.I'm actually considering a somewhat tight turn fold, after all villain has raised into two players on the flop. And it's possible BTN who is still to act could have a set,and you can still come back over the top so it's an incredibly strong line from the BB in a multi way pot.I think i begrudgingly make a tightish turn fold,as played though your getting such good odds on the river id call but i wouldn't be to happy about it.

Very unlucky,i think that hand makes a better flat than 3bet bvb so i don't use it as a bluff. But swings and roundabouts,it was wp.

while studying

Since I am in the process of studying for my quarterly exams, I haven't had too much time to play. However, just like today, I tend to 2 table on the side, while reading through study material. Today was particularly enjoyable, since my session went by the following graph:

original.png

As I searched for the most juicy tables and sat down, there was nothing to do, but to win. :)

Got one more for ya'!

original.png

While preparing for my final exam this semester, I was 2-tabling again. And all I can say about this one is that I could not lose a single flip. AK vs QQ 2x, all my sets held and it was just easy.

Definitely very happy about the result :)

Since the summer-time is here, I am posting a small update w.r.t. my play. I will be enjoying the sun and fresh air, as opposed to playing poker now. So next update might come in about 2 months or so. Anyhow, I am not quitting poker, I am merely avoiding any computer-time, just to make me relax more. :)

Have a wonderful summer, y'all! :)

Been getting some action over the past week.

I have been playing some poker over the past week. Since that I have been only playing at NL10. Plenty of interesting hands, but in this post I would simply like to share the graph, which I am proud of :)

Nice to see you back man. Looks like you lost a big hand around 1500 hands into the graph which put you into aggro mode. Better once you calmed it down at 4000 hands.
Post a few hands bud.

Post a few hands bud.

As requested. The big hands I lost were AKs vs KK and then the very next hand KK vs AA, resulting in that DIP in the graph. I may have gone into aggro mode a bit, you are right.

I have been getting involved in more pots with fish (with speculative hands, ofc) and managed to outplay them on the streets. Here are some hands, as requested:

Hand #1: A call I don't normally make.
Pacific, $0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 4 Players

SB: $11.60 (116 bb)
Hero (BB): $17.72 (177.2 bb)
CO: $9.61 (96.1 bb) (VPIP: 77; PFR: 34; 3Bet: 0; F3Bet: 0; Hands: 111)
BTN: $7.51 (75.1 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A J
CO raises to $0.20, 2 folds, Hero raises to $0.65, CO calls $0.45

Flop: ($1.35) 6 A 9 (2 players)
Hero bets $0.90, CO calls $0.90

Turn: ($3.15) 3 (2 players)
Hero bets $1.57, CO calls $1.57

River: ($6.29) 7 (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $6.29, Hero calls $6.29

Results: $18.87 pot ($0.94 rake)
Final Board: 6 A 9 3 7
Hero showed A J and won $17.93 ($8.52 net)
CO showed 8 K and lost (-$9.41 net)

Hand #2: Stubbornness leads to loss.
Pacific, $0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players

SB: $8.25 (82.5 bb)
BB: $10 (100 bb)
Hero (UTG): $12.23 (122.3 bb)
MP: $9.63 (96.3 bb)
CO: $14.14 (141.4 bb) (VPIP: 34; PFR: 16; 3Bet: 5.5; Hands: 114)
BTN: $13.78 (137.8 bb)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with A:club: T:spade:
Hero raises to $0.35, MP folds, CO raises to $0.70, 3 folds, Hero calls $0.35

Flop: ($1.55) A:heart: 5:club: A:diamond: (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $0.77, Hero calls $0.77

Turn: ($3.09) 4:heart: (2 players)
Hero checks, CO checks

River: ($3.09) 3:diamond: (2 players)
Hero bets $1.54, CO raises to $7.71, Hero calls $6.17

Considering his 3Bet % + the flop bet and turn check, I was convinced I was up against KK / QQ here (worst case scenario AK, AQ).

Now that I think about it, I don't beat any of his Ax range here, which therefore is a fold here.

Results: $18.51 pot ($0.92 rake)
Final Board: A:heart: 5:club: A:diamond: 4:heart: 3:diamond:
Hero showed A:club: T:spade: and lost (-$9.18 net)
CO showed 2:heart: 2:spade: and won $17.59 ($8.41 net)

AJ. I'd need good reads/notes that he pots busted flush draws, to make that call. Id expect to lose to 2 pair there a lot. The busted flush draw makes sense though. He played it well, like you said you are mostly folding.

The AT hand is interesting. I agree the river is a bet fold spot. It was an unusual line to take with 22. I would definitely be taking a note on that guy. I'm not sure if we can do anything differently tbh. We cant get too frisky flop or turn because his perceived range dominates our kicker.

The 89s hand I'd lead out on the turn looking to build the pot. Probably about 60% pot. He's going to call with virtually all hands that have equity in position there. Worst case is he checks turn which is what happened and we lost some value as a result. The last time I sweated with John he picked up I wasn't lead betting the turn enough with my Cat1 hands. Most good players will pot control with medium hands there so when you have the nuts lead out a bit more on the turn when oop.

The AJ hand was based on a note I had, which states that this guy doesn't give up on missed draws.

Now, how about this one? Too nitty?

Its always disconcerting to face a turn raise, and betting on the end usually feels 'wrong' so its natural to check behind.
When you think about it the turn raise and river check doesn't make much sense on that board, he is really only repping JJ J9 or high spades that picked up a flush draw.
If he had a value hand on the turn he should still be betting it on the end. It looks like a busted club draw in which case he won't call very much anyway.
Now I see he has 78 so he picked up a double gutter. It makes sense for him to raise turn and shove pretty much every river to put you in a spot. Fail for him

Suckout merchant!
I'm not sure about the flop raise, I'd probably just call there.
I suppose we could try and fold out KK with that line but he will have more AA AK AQ here that is never (or shouldnt be) folding once half the stacks have gone in on the flop.

Nice digging there.

I'm very early into my own challenge and after a few days running really well I had a horror session last night where I just could not get out of the hole. Playing $2NL, after a couple of hundred hands was down to -$7, got it back to -$3, dipped to about -$6, scratched and clawed my way back to -$1, only to implode late in the evening and end up -$7 again

Frustrating seeing so much 'easy' money at the table when the cards don't fall your way. I really lost my way and made a lot of very bad moves so only got myself to blame though! Hope to learn from it and do better.

Love the thread anyway, and some great graphs :)
