Sorry have to giggle. You clearly have been running good for far too long.... 75. T6 Lol couldnt you see the drool coming out of the corner of his avatar. I had a similar opponent last night. Pot pot pot, hit overcard on river. Pot.

Well, my overall graph is still under EV, haha, but yes - I indeed was due this kind of crap. I'm not mad or annoyed or anything. More of an eye-roll moment.

Nice digging there.

I'm very early into my own challenge and after a few days running really well I had a horror session last night where I just could not get out of the hole. Playing $2NL, after a couple of hundred hands was down to -$7, got it back to -$3, dipped to about -$6, scratched and clawed my way back to -$1, only to implode late in the evening and end up -$7 again

Frustrating seeing so much 'easy' money at the table when the cards don't fall your way. I really lost my way and made a lot of very bad moves so only got myself to blame though! Hope to learn from it and do better.

Love the thread anyway, and some great graphs :)

I'm glad you enjoy my thread. Keep playing and grinding. It will all come together. Analyze your play and discuss your hands with others. You will get better. Consistency is key though.

Today I didn't play much, but when I did...

I fold 55 preflop after the 2nd raise. No way im calling 13bb to effectively set mine it cannot be a+ev spot unless we are deep and we arent.

I am always on the fence about 55. To me 66 is a clear 3bet call and 44 is a clear fold. 55 is somewhat "I am feeling lucky (or unlucky) today" hand.

Today, though:

A similar one to the 55... :(

When the SB 3bets over utg it is usually JJ+, stats dependant of course. 77 is a fold here for me.

Not sure I agree with that statement. I personally open any pair, ATs, AJo+ from UTG, and I play a reasonable preflop range. I didn't put in the stats for this guy, but he's labelled as a LAG player in my notes.

Anyhow, I'm not mad about the hand, as I played it. :)

moving in is finally over and poker may resume

after I had taken some time off of poker in order to move into my new place (and a large portion of my bankroll was spent on furniture / house supplies), I am now back into action. Since the academic semester has also begun, I will try to incorporate as much poker as I can.

Here's a graph of today's session:

a great session with a laugh at the end

original.png

The laugh of the day... The villain decides to call off my pure bluff (good for him), but...

Pacific, $0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 4 Players

SB: $11.59 (115.9 bb)
Hero (BB): $10.57 (105.7 bb)
CO: $8.08 (80.8 bb) (VPIP:74; PFR 5; 3-Bet: 5; Hands: 229)
BTN: $7.21 (72.1 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K:spade: J:club:
CO calls $0.10, 2 folds, Hero raises to $0.35, CO calls $0.25

Flop: ($0.75) 5:club: 3:diamond: 4:spade: (2 players)
Hero bets $0.50, CO calls $0.50

Turn: ($1.75) Q:club: (2 players)
Hero bets $1.16, CO calls $1.16

River: ($4.07) 5:spade: (2 players)
Hero bets $2.71, CO calls $2.71

I sigh... But then...

Results: $9.49 pot ($0.47 rake)
Final Board: 5:club: 3:diamond: 4:spade: Q:club: 5:spade:
Hero showed K:spade: J:club: and won $9.02 ($4.30 net)
CO showed 7:heart: J:diamond: and lost (-$4.72 net)

a fun one today

a truly relaxing 4-table session turned out very well. Played some NL20, some NL10 and some PLO10.

original.png

The mistakes I made were mostly evident at the PLO tables. As I am still very new to that game, I am expecting that. Also, I got trapped in the following hand. Haha.

Pacific, $0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 5 Players

SB: $4.13 (41.3 bb)
Hero (BB): $14.65 (146.5 bb)
MP: $8.85 (88.5 bb)
CO: $11.82 (118.2 bb)
BTN: $10.55 (105.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J J
2 folds, BTN raises to $0.25, SB calls $0.20, Hero raises to $1, BTN calls $0.75, SB calls $0.75

Flop: ($3) T 4 5 (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $2, BTN folds, SB raises to $3.13 and is all-in, Hero calls $1.13

Turn: ($9.26) A (2 players, 1 is all-in)
River: ($9.26) 3 (2 players, 1 is all-in)

Results: $9.26 pot ($0.46 rake)
Final Board: T 4 5 A 3
SB showed A 7 and won $8.80 ($4.67 net)
Hero showed J J and lost (-$4.13 net)
BTN mucked and lost (-$1 net)

Overall, the last several sessions are looking good. My intention now is to grind my BR up to a certain amount, which would ensure me being a reg at the NL100 tables. Have a good day y'all!

Today was okay. Folded when I had to, and put some more pressure from my opponents from the blinds & OOP. Here's the graph

If it helps, I'm up for that! Shoot me a PM on Hangouts, we can schedule some sessions there. ;)

Hmmm, getting a touch aggro in this session my opinion. You are folding out all bar the top of their ranges by the river which is probably why you are losing most of the showdowns. I suggest you try checking flop or turn just a little more. It has the benefit that you will get called lighter on the end and you can pot control your medium hands a bit better. You other recent graphs look like you had you levels of aggression bang on, so having said all that, maybe today was just variance.

an uphill battle

Had an uphill battle today, as it seemed that my correct decisions were met by some guy catching whatever they need on further streets. Anyhow, it's a wonderful feeling to be above $0 after being in such a hole...

original.png

It seems like in the past several sessions I have been running heavily under EV.

Those sessions are actually pretty good if you look at them after you finish those. You were down a lot and managed to turn it around and even be profitable. Usually it goes the other way - good profit, one loss, maybe tilt and the profits are gone. This is a good example of non-tilt play I would say ;)

still playin

Although I have been very busy with my studies, I have still managed some time to play some poker. Here are the graphs of NL25 mixed with NL10 from October 17th and 18th respectively.

didn't have much time to play today + the PLO tables were quite dead, but I managed to 2 table PLO25 for an hour, which resulted in this graph.

original.png

I focused on my preflop game, as I still am making loads of mistakes, but the cards fell my way and I ended up having a nice session! :)
