Never show
Never give away free information
Just keep them guessing and let them make the mistakes, plus you don't want players to take things personal and then the focus is on you. Don't TAP the GLASS.

In a live game where everyone is having a good time? Yeah why not show cards from time to time.

People come to play for fun, not sit in silence next to a guy with a hoodie, sunglasses, and earphones in. The more fun you keep the game the more pots get splashy, definitely worth it IMO.

Hell no. Im a gotta pay to play type of guy for the fact that bluffing is what it is. I will show a hand every now and then to play with peoples heads to make think I'm bluffing and call. If I got aces I might show if every1 folds but not to often do I ever show. Good luck and have fun too.

Poker

I don't like to show my cards too often. It's bad for my game. This is free information from my opponent against me.

Rarely

I would say that I show my hole cards once or twice out of a hundred hands so 1-2% of the time.

I will typically only do it if I am playing tight and bluff a 27 offsuit, just to get more action on my good hands.

That's the curse of playing tight, hard to get action from average hands.

Do you usually show the cards before putting them back in the deck? Sometimes it can be a good strategy to brand rivals ... Leave your comment here with the reasons why you do it (or not)
For now, I am using my phone to play and there is no such option in pokerstars App now :)

Only if every1 else folds. In that situation I'm not giving anything to anyone. Could maybe also work to mislead others if you successfully bluff with week hands.

Very seldom do I show my cards other than during a showdown. I'm pretty much a "You've got to pay to see 'em." type of gal. ;) Though at a showdown, I always turn my cards over and show them because that person has paid.

Sometimes, and not I will show them if it is something impressive like four of a kind, straight flush, full house, etc... when the other player folds. I think that they like to see that because they know that they did the right thing, and other players just like seeing a big hand. One time up at the Filotimo another player leaned over to me on either the turn or the river and said, "If I fold will you show me your cards?" He folded, and I showed 'em. :)

sometimes it is good but only when you play with people who play aggressively to lower their aggression in the game

Just in blinds war, like strategy, when the opponent on SB try to stealing my bb and when I have very bad cards to defend it, and then I have to fold, I do it just to info him that the next time and in the same position I gonna defend with better cards than that, its a way to stop him.

If you're playing tight, winning lots of pots, and showing down strong hands, then you need to demonstrate that you bluff. Otherwise, you're not going to get any action.
