Ha! Naw, they're not interested in gambling themselves lol. Also I made the mistake of telling my parents approximately how much I withdrew from online (they were shocked, since it was about 9x more than what I deposited).

And yeah I realize there are much worse situations ofc, like my parents thinking I'm a degenerate or whatever, but still has always felt a bit odd. Probably because a lot of my friends at school don't really get it, so it's sort of confusing to then have my parents being so much more on board. Like my dad still "doesn't agree with it" as something that could be a job, kind of cause of considerations like being a productive member of society, but he couldn't care less if it's for entertainment/intellectual fun or whatever. My mom is way more on board lol.

On a somewhat related topic...

One of my cash thread goals was to reach 40 buy-ins for 2/5 NL live, which at the time was $20k (100BB buy-ins). Since then, the local casino raised the maximum buy-in at 2/5 to $2k (400BB). I'm not anywhere near it yet, but I was wondering how this affects my goal.

Any thoughts?
