Your opinion on 10 minute breaks

Terrible idea, we lose 17% of our poker time (10 minutes out of each 60) just twiddling our thumbs while we cater to all the cigarette addicts out there? No thanks, keep it at 5 please.

Poker isn't a physical exertion, we don't constantly need to take a rest break, good grief people!!! If you don't have the stamina to play 55 minutes out of each hour, you might be in the wrong sport, I'd suggest darts altho that may be too much walking to collect the darts after each toss. Maybe tiddlywinks then.

The lack of a regular break time is actually one of the few attractions that cash games have to me. But I'm a tourney donk, so at least I get to pee in the regular toilet instead of the cash game players who refuse to EVER leave their table and so they use a pee bottle to collect it under their desk while they play. Gross, I know, but yes absolutely this was (and probably still is) a fairly common practice in the online poker world... and in fact, year or two ago, there was also a similar incident at a LIVE casino poker table, someone got caught peeing into a bottle under the table... poker players, a rare breed indeed. LOL

I fold the last hand (if its not good) before the break to go to the toilet and then during the break I smoke a cigarette

they have advantages and disadvantages. I think it's good with a 5-6 min break. sometimes I can't wait for those 5 minutes to pass either )))

I fully agree with you in this regard! 5 minutes is not enough for anything, no coffee, no smoke, no food! 10 minutes would be enough for all your business! I hope this issue will be solved someday!

in online tournaments each hour the players get a break for 5 minutes . i think it should be 10 minutes instead because then you can make yourself a sandwich or if you need to go to the restroom and take longer etc.

what is your opinion on this ?

For me doesnt matter much, 5 minutes is okay with me 10 shoud do too...
What I'm saying is that I can do the things I need in 5 minutes and also I don't think 10 minutes would be too much...
Since all tournaments stop at the same time, maybe 10 minutes would make more possible for everyone to solve their problems and come back in the right time for the game.

What about tournaments that last longer then say 5 hours. I personally have never been in such, but i saw somwhere on PS one that said is running for 20 hours ... What breaks do they have?

I bet that instead of a 10 minute break every hour, I could continue the 5 minute break, more every 30 minutes.
Long tournaments would be less tiring.

I think that in a tournament that lasts more than 4 hours, having a 1 minute break with 10 minutes would be fair. I would give players a snack for example. Now for the shortest games 5min is more than enough.

Fun fact, you can eat a sandwich while playing a tournament.

Also, more breaks means less likely you will be paying less rake in other tables if you are a person that focuses on tournament play. They'd rather have you bust sooner and play something else. There's no benefit for them to have longer tournaments and might disinterest people. No one is NOT going to play a tournament because of a shorter break, whereas people might think it's excessive and play somewhere else.

If I want to make something for a long time, I use the phone to playing poker, 5 minutes is enought!

For me, 5 minutes is a good amount of time available. But if there is an increase in time to 10 minutes, it will also be interesting. However, this increase in time can cause anxiety and lack of concentration in some players while waiting for the return of the game in progress.

10 minutes every other break. 5 min/10 min/5 min/10 min, /20 min (on the 5th hour)
