true most are a waste of time. sadly 888poker remove some club freerolls aswell...
and 888 was the only really good site with extra freerolls (besides the freerolls cc gives on other sites) its less and less every year sadly they take away the good freerolls and leave us with bad ones 50$ prizepool with 12k players.. who enjoys playing that really? 8 hours for 2cents lol

Hope they bring something back soon but doubt they will do it...

whats the best freeroll site thats out now? partypoker?

Eventhough some of 888's decisions are indeed more than questionable they'd still have like twice (if not more) as much freerolls as other poker sites have daily, no?
I'm not saying that they are the best either but unibet still has several regular freerolls aswell eventhough they do got rid of some regular tournaments
As for party then i've no idea cause last time i visited them they were as close to being "best freeroll site" as i'm for being president :bebored:

Normally if there is a 5000 person freeroll with prizes for 50, 99 out of 100 times you are going to waste time according to what you think, also the majority of people who play freeroll do so because they do not have a bankroll to play other types of tournament. Any type of tournament that distributes prizes to its participants is good, if everyone had the money to participate in tournaments with buy in, nobody would play freerolls.

888 added a 0.01 entry fee to the BigFish freerolls, although they were never technically free because of rebuys and add-ons.

I saw a couple of Unibet freerolls today with 200 plus entrants and 7 places paid...

Completely agree. The freerolls with 50 places paid are absurd. I don't mind larger fields when the top 500-1000 are paid though.

Not waste if got money.
But, no one can be satisfied to get some cents to buy something.
Just it´s not efficient to get money of some cents.

Freeroll allows you to get an initial experience. You can take a risk and not lose anything.

Freerolls why not??

Something that I learn in my life is that, if have anything not ilegal free, why this would be bad??
a free roll could make a person without nothing became a winner. I know not one but a lot of people who never put a cent in the poker but became a winners, only starting with freerolls and making the manage of the bankroll, if you are doing not very well on the freerolls I give one advice: study.
the freerolls have just like the other micros, a lot of begginers, so if you know the basics of poker you can have a lot of money starting with nothing.

the worst thing about free rolls is that people, ( not players), just try to win with junk all the time. So in essence don't learn how to really play against quality or even mediocre players.
When someone makes bad calls all the way with nothing, then hit the 2% out at best. Someone tells them NH, that wasn't a nice hand. Especially when they don't raise when they finally get the nuts. The whole hand was played wrong, especially if way out of position.

I think you can learn a lot from freerolls patience being no 1, grant it your gonna have players playing stupid but you have to learn how to play against all different types of play if your gonna be a good poker player.

The bigger the buy-in, the bigger the prize and consequently the harder it is to win. Play 10 $20 or more tournaments and see if you're ready for it! I'm still not, for sure!

is that a real question?
better one would be why aren't you?

Obviously it's a joke. A little sense of humor.

I see others have a sense of humor in the forum and I thought I could joke too.
I apologize

Freerolls are a grind. I'll say it's a matter of opinion. If you're not winning any of them then I guess they would be a waste of time. On the flip side you're not losing any of your own money. You could take a go at cash tournaments with your own money, but are you winning those? I guess it all depends on the individual. One thing they are good for is practice, killing time, and building a bankroll if you have the patience or skill to do so.

I like freerolls. Freerolls give you a chance to practice your skills without losing any of your money but at the same time you have a chance to win money. To me it's a win/win situation; you have a chance to win money and gain skills without the the threat of losing your money. Any poker game you sit down in will be time consuming, for a beginner or someone without a bankroll this is beautiful.

Seriously, they are a waste of time, where you even lose money if you win. Most of the FRs on poker sites have a 50 to 100.00 prize pool, where the top person gets 7 to 10.00.

All the Cons-

- They take forever, even longer than most tourneys, because they have several levels of late registration. I've seen some with close to 40 levels of late registration, because the freeroll offered re-buy ins.

- It will take a long time to get ITM, and when you do get ITM, it will be for pennies. I have never won a FR, but I have finished ITM, where I was like top 30 or something, and I won 85 cents or so. I played a 1.00 buy-in tourney with a prize pool of 1000.00. I finished top 40, I believe, and I won 3.80. I played that same tourney again, finished top 5, and won 35.00 dollars. Top 5 in a FR is around 3 or 4 dollars. I got more money for similar finishes in the buy-in tourneys.

- You also losing money ( time is money) on them, because you're putting forth tons of mental labor over long periods of time, for either pennies on the dollar, or for no money at all.

- The hand play from villains is Kamikazee style, because the game is free, and the buy-ins are micro cheap. From the start of the tourney, you will be forced to dodge shoves on 1 out of every 6 to 7 hands or so.

Maybe the exclusive club FR are worth it, but they are still insanely time consuming just to get a low payout.

People will recommend FRs for the purpose of gaining real play experience. But I disagree with that as well. You can get the same experience by playing with play money, or playing against people on a poker phone App.

I totally disagree with you my friend!
But I understand your point of view. Apparently, you play poker solely for profit. Therefore, its logic makes the Freeroll not profitable due to the time spent on it versus the profit that is usually achieved. However, in addition to the possibility of earning money, the freeroll is a school. There you learn and train the subjective aspects of Poker without having to spend money on it. When you say that play money is for learning, it gives me the impression that you never played there. Nobody plays with play money worrying about whether they will lose or how much they can win. You can even learn objective aspects of Poker there. But you will not learn the psychological side. Dealing with pressure, attacking, retreating. This is to be learned when something is at stake.
The freeroll gives you the opportunity to learn this at no cost and with the possibility of profit.
Just have patience and wisdom to survive the first 30 minutes of shooting. lol
I am very grateful to CardsChat for the opportunity to play select freerolls with generous prizes. And I don't find it difficult to reach 75 posts.
It's just a matter of patience. As in life, nothing (or almost nothing) comes for free.
But continue with your point of view. It is one less to compete in the freerolls.
Strong hug!

CC freerolls are awesome. You start deep stacked enough and the blinds go up at reasonable rate. Also, there aren't too many players and most of them seem to take the games seriously. The casinoorg freerolls, on the other hand, are terrible. So many players and crazy play, and the payouts are not distributed very well.
