So what do you do when you pick up a premium hand? Are you just limping Aces and hoping to hit hard? If not, what's your raise size gonna be?
oh

Was out of context a bit :)
I havent had that much success with that format, so not the best suited to answer.
It depends a lot, but personaly would almost never limp with AA.
Probably raise 1/4 to 1/2 pot, or if pot is juicy enough, I just push.

Depends
I dont limp AA very often, I usually just do a standard raise. normally close to min-raise.

So when blinds/antes are 5/5/250 you advocate raising to 10? ;)

My raise size will generally be like 3/4-1/2 of pot in these, pre flop sort of plays like post flop in terms of bet sizing due to all dead money bloating pot.So at the 5/5/250 level I'd raise to something like 1600. You have to be wary about raising too small, getting a few callers which gives people behind really good odds to call and post flop will suck so bad.

Haha I realised you didn't realise the context it was asked in. It's no good me editing mine since you've quoted it lol.

raise all your normal raising hands, and you can steal with really small raises too because people don't appreciate how much you're actually winning - the opening size will be completely table and villain dependent. regs will have a much better grip on their pot odds pre than a fish too.

however, you should basically never be folding - if blinds are 5/5/50 for example, at a 9 handed table it's nearly 100/1 to limp in which is good enough odds for any hand

Only playing the Low. It was already about a fifth of my roll (had to lend to my brother) so playing today is a massively bad BRM.

if you tilt like that sounds like you aren't made for grinding, at least yet. why not decide whether your going to play for fun or play for money. if it's the first, don't tilt when you get bad beat - youre playing for entertainment. if it's the second, spend at least the same amount of time studying as you are playing, at least until you get to the stage where you are confident in your ability to beat the games you play. that should stop you tilting because you'll know that however many times you get bad beat in a session/week/month, in the long run you'll still win

SCOOP is designed to encourage players to have bad BRM lol.
