Donk Q coming up here:

What is exactly is so good about events like SCOOP or iPOPS?

Are there more fish in these games or just bigger fields than normal?

I understand with series like the wsop the pros get to play a large number of high buyin events within a short space of time but surely there are enough micro/low/mid stakes games running all the time, no?

Just wondering srs

in the games themselves, tons more fish - the reg pool can't change that much but because they are advertised there's a way higher ratio of fish. the reason there's way more fish is because of the advertising and the massive prize pools; recreational players (be they good, average, bad or very bad) love the idea of winning a tournament for a life changing sum of money.

it also has a great impact on other games, as people will be making deposits to play scoop, playing other tournaments with cashes or when they bust, etc

Out of interest, what stack size are you 3-bet shoving here with same hand?

Depends on tourney, and what stage.
To be honest I dont really know exactly.
Edit: with 30bb's? almost never.

im shoving there.
dont like a stop n go
It wasnt ment as a stop and go.
It was basicly putting the shortstack all-in, without risking my whole stack.

so you are raise/folding to the 30bb bb?
really really dont like it,
are you sizing your entire range like that? or just the part that you are willing to fold.
seeing a flop with that hand with no intention of folding kinda sucks as he is bad and gets away when he misses, and has us crushed when he calls,
much rather put it in pre

I think its too much to push with, so yeah, would do the same with my entire range.
What about you, do you go all-in with AA there?

the bb gets involved so rarely when you shove. there range for shoving vs calling shove is much wider

I've only played 1ante-up tournament in my life and got pretty confused by what was going on IIRC. What should the strategy be in these. Pascal, you advocate open limping a lot?

the blinds are 5/5/ante and only the ante changes, should be pretty obvious that limping every hand after the first few levels (and probably even in the first few levels) is pretty obviously going to be good ;)

Yea in later stages you get like like 3000/1 to limp in. You could profitably only continue past the flop if you hit a FH or better.

So what do you do when you pick up a premium hand? Are you just limping Aces and hoping to hit hard? If not, what's your raise size gonna be?
