there should be a reason to play sattys, you should have an edge, even if that edge is just a mathematical edge which allows you to play in the tourney for less expense

but a skill edge is the biggest reason to play them

i really dislike satellites

I tend to find the best case is i win the satellite and then lose the actual cash tournie....
where-as buying straight in with cash seems to give me a little extra "run good" lol... maby it's just in my head... who knows...

Satellites are good for multiple reasons but here's two basic ones:

1) Usually weak players.
2) They also make target tournament much softer.

In general for players who want to build their bankroll I would suggest to rather play regular tournaments than regular satellites.

If its freeroll , small amount, or ftp then it can be a good way to enter in big tournaments. They are fun you have to be super loose to be a part of the fun lol
